Poker tournaments are continually pulling big numbers in the Keystone State. A fresh new batch of tournaments are planted for the month of April.

Players will have a plethora of poker tournaments to pick from between live and online events.

Live! Casino Philadelphia knocks out the competition

Live! Casino Philadelphia poker room has a jam packed schedule for April. The entire month of events come with over $300,000 in guaranteed prize pools.

Live! will start the month with a $80,000 knockout series. This will include 10 bounty style events starting on Mon., April 4. and running until Sat., April 9. The event buy-ins are one-day events and range from $110 to $300 buy-ins.

At the end of the month, Live! Poker room will host a Megastack tournament. This is a multi-flight event that kicks off on Thurs., April 28. There are five starting flights and Day 2 is on Sun., May 1.

On Fri., April 29, Rivers Philadelphia host their popular Mini Rush Series. The $350 buy-in comes with a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool that starts at 11:15 a.m. This is a multi-day event with Day 1B taking place on Sat., April 30. The event will combine on Day 2 to complete on Sun., May 1.

Besides the Mini Rush event, Rivers Philadelphia will host multiple daily tournaments throughout the month that include:

  • Mondays 7:15 p.m.: $130 NLH ($4,000 guarantee)
  • Tuesdays 1:15 p.m.: $100 NLH ($2,500 guarantee)

Mohegan Sun Pocono: Small buy-ins for new players

The 9-table Mohegan Sun Pocono room will host the same daily tournament schedule as per months past. The casino offers smaller daily events, which are great for people not looking to break the bank.

The poker room is open until 3 a.m. daily. Players can find tournament action every day besides Tuesday and Saturdays.

Pennsylvania’s newest poker room is located in Pittsburgh. Their 7-table poker room hosts daily tournaments for players looking for some no-limit hold’em action.

Their big event of the month will be a $400 buy-in with a $100 bounty. Live! Pittsburgh will host the Black Chip Bounty even on Sat., April 23 at 10:15 a.m. The poker room ran their first big bounty event in March.

BetMGM Cheap Stakes Series

BetMGM is running the Cheap Stakes Series in Pennsylvania from April 1-10 with 20 events and over $89,000 in guaranteed prize pools. The series features buy-ins ranging from $20 to $50.

The partypoker is available on multiple poker skins in Pennsylvania, including Borgata Poker and BetMGM. The sites share the same player pool.

The biggest Cheap Stakes event is a progressive knockout event (PKO) tournament set for April 10. As far as tournament variety, the series includes hypers, turbos, six-max, and freezeout tournaments.

Over at PokerStars PA, the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) is running now, with more big-guarantee tournaments on tap through April 11.

New Jersey poker tournaments limited to Borgata, online

Currently only the Borgata offers weekly poker tournaments in the Garden State. Three poker rooms are up and running in Atlantic City. The casinos offer 24/7 cash games at the following locations:

  • Tropicana

Borgata poker tournaments in April 2022

The poker room continues to host tournaments on Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays. Daily tournaments change from week to week.

At the moment, no major events have been listed but according to an inside source, a medium-sized tournament may be added to the final week of the April calendar, pending approval.

Borgata will also be hosting their online series at the same time. This will run concurrent with the Pennsylvania and Michigan series. Guarantees may vary.
