Casinos love the number 7. This fall, so does the kitchen at Live! Casino Pittsburgh at the Westmoreland Mall.

The Hempfield Township casino is launching new fall menu items and a week’s worth of dining deals at its two restaurants: Sports & Social Steel City and Mangia Featuring DeLallo.

That includes a Sunday brunch, a prime rib night, and, every Thursday, seven wings for $7 starting at 7 p.m.

It’s also the first fall for Mangia, which opened in April.

What’s new at Sports & Social?

The fall menu at Sports & Social adds Bang Bang lettuce wraps, a Maryland crab cake sandwich, pepperoni hot honey French bread pizza, spicy tuna tacos, and Maryland crab artichoke dip.

Lunch is mix and match. Pick two from soup of the day, a half sandwich, or a half salad or bowl, for $16.

Then there’s the weekly calendar:

  • Sunday: Be Social Brunch, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a skillet cinnamon roll, Southwestern omelet, sausage gravy and biscuits, French toast, and brunch cocktails
  • Monday through Thursday: Taps & Apps 4-5-6 Happy Hour, 5 to 7 p.m.
  • Wednesday: Prime Rib Wednesday, 4 to 10 p.m., a 14-ounce prime rib with baked potato, green beans, au jus, and horseradish cream for $44
  • Wednesday: Fish Bowl Wednesday, $10 fishbowl cocktails all day
  • Thursday: 777 Wings, seven wings for $7 starting at 7 p.m.

So Wednesday is the night to circle. Happy hour, prime rib and fishbowls, all on the same day.

Mangia adds fall dishes and late weekend hours

Mangia, the Italian market and eatery built in partnership with Jeannette-based DeLallo, is adding chicken Alfredo, an autumn apple salad, spinach artichoke pasta salad, a roast turkey hoagie, and bourbon pecan pie.

On Friday and Saturday nights, it stays open until 2 a.m. for the crowd still on the gaming floor after midnight or anyone who wants bourbon pecan pie at 1:30 in the morning.

How Live! Casino at the Westmoreland Mall got here

Live! opened in November 2020 in a former Bon-Ton department store at the Westmoreland Mall, about 30 miles east of Pittsburgh. It was the first of Pennsylvania’s Category 4 satellite casinos to open.

Mangia took over the space that held Guy Fieri’s American Kitchen & Bar, which closed last fall.

Six months in, its replacement is getting a seasonal refresh.
