Despite a slight slowdown, Pennsylvania online casinos continue to churn out revenue. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported that operators produced $300.6 million in February revenue.

It’s the fifth straight month Pennsylvania online casino revenue has eclipsed $300 million. A new standard has been set in the Keystone State.

March to be a key month

Since setting an all-time record in December, the industry has dropped in each of the last two months. Still, revenue has not dipped below $300 million. Here are results over the last five months:

  • October: $312.4 million
  • November: $304.4 million
  • December: $324.3 million
  • January: $316.2 million
  • February: $300.6 million

Revenue declined on a month-over-month basis by 4.9% but increased year-over-year at 14.9%.

March has set new records in every year dating back 2021. Hopes are high for another record this month.

Slots continue to dominate

Online slots are easily the most popular titles operators provide. Some of the larger platforms offer thousands of games.

Slots, once again, dominated in February, increasing the percentage of revenue from January. In January, slots accounted for 82% of the iGaming total. Fast forward to February, that percentage increased to 83.9%.

While table games and live dealer games remain important, slots drive the market. It would be smart for operators to continue to invest in exciting slot games for customers.

Harrah’s Philadelphia increases revenue

In a month where essentially every licensee’s revenue decreased, Harrah’s Philadelphia was an outlier in February.

Harrah’s Philadelphia is made up of Caesars Palace Casino, Tropicana Casino, Horseshoe Casino and WSOP. The licensee improved revenue to $18.8 million compared to $18.4 million it produced in January.

It’s an impressive feat, as the top licensees such as Hollywood Penn National and Valley Forge Casino experienced decreases.
