No other retail property in the region will pay you to become a table games dealer — but Rivers Casino Philadelphia will, with no experience required.
The property is the only Pennsylvania retail casino in the region to offer a paid dealer training program, covering the full cost of dealer school and paying participants $17.50 an hour while they complete classroom training.
Scott Lokke, general manager of Rivers Casino Philadelphia, told PlayPennsylvania:

“Trainees become Team Members on day one, and with our high success rate, graduates can transition immediately into full- or part-time dealer roles after passing their audition.”
How the training and pay structure works
The program gives Philadelphia-area jobseekers a chance to launch a new career at the Fishtown property without any prior casino experience, and team members who stay with the company for a year also receive a $1,000 retention bonus.
Once certified, new table games dealers earn base pay plus tips, with many starting dealers making up to $30 an hour. Dealers can boost their earnings further by learning additional games such as baccarat, roulette and craps.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old to work as a table games dealer in Pennsylvania, and Rivers said it welcomes veterans, retirees, career changers, college students and recent graduates to apply.
Beyond the paid training, Rivers Casino offers a benefits package that includes healthcare, immediate 401(k) vesting, tuition reimbursement and free team member parking, along with flexible scheduling and room for advancement.
Bonuses on the table for experienced dealers
Experienced dealers have new incentives to join the team, too. Dealers who are proficient in two core games and average 30 hours a week are eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000, while those proficient in one core game can earn a $5,000 bonus.
Current part-time dealers with proficiency in one core game may qualify for a $1,000 bonus. Eligible team members receive their bonus after one year.
Dealers looking to expand their skills can use Rivers’ internal training program to learn additional games, a path that can help qualify them for the higher bonus tier down the road.
The dealer school push comes as Rivers Casino Philadelphia rolls out a busy August calendar of entertainment and promotions, including headline performances from comedian Rickey Smiley and a Michael Jackson tribute show, plus six-figure jackpots on Royal 9 Baccarat and a multi-link progressive shared between Ultimate Texas Hold ’em, Mississippi Stud and Three Card Poker.
