Fox Bet Sportsbook is coming to Pennsylvania.
The Stars Group (TSG) inked a deal with broadcast giant Fox Sports in May 2019. The venture will launch the new Fox Bet brand, which will offer real-money sports wagering and free-to-play contests to PA sports bettors in the fall of 2019.
TSG already had a deal in place to launch Pennsylvania sports betting operations out of Mount Airy Casino Resort in the Poconos. Therefore, Fox Bet’s PA sports betting operations should be one of the first in the country to launch.
We expect the Fox Bet online sportsbook to closely mirror TSG’s already established BetStars sports betting site in New Jersey.
So, we can start there to preview Fox Bet PA. Outside of branding and possibly several Fox-specific promotions, the two products should be relatively the same.
First and foremost, Fox Bet should roll out a similar new sign-up deal in PA that BetStars has in NJ. That is a $500 risk-free bet. What that means is that, should your first wager with Fox Bet lose, you will get the amount of the bet, up to $500, returned to your account in the form of bonus money.
That should allow anyone in Pennsylvania to wager risk-free on their favorite sports, teams, and players right out of the gate.
Fox Bet will host all the major sports leagues fans might watch on Fox Sports. That includes the NFL, the NBA, Major League Baseball, and the NHL.
Plus, Fox Bet will offer access to obscure and alternative betting markets like Aussie rules football, cricket, darts, rugby, and more.
The following Fox Bet PA preview breaks down the mobile app, how to deposit and withdraw funds, as well as the initial bonus offers for new players.
Reasons to choose Fox Bet
- The sports betting app will be available on iOS and Android mobile devices
- Its $500 risk-free bet is among the best online sportsbook bonus offers
- Gain access to Fox Bet’s national free-to-play contests
Fox Bet Sportsbook PA bonus — 2019
We expect Fox Bet to offer all new customers a refund on their first bet of up to $500 if it loses. That means if a player loses his or her first bet, the site credits back the full bet amount up to $500.
This is not the same as a cash refund. Players cannot withdraw the credit immediately. Instead, they must wager it a second time.
Players can expect to find any first-bet loss returned to a player’s account within 72 hours of making the bet. Plus, Fox Bet will likely require players to wager the bonus cash within seven days.

Other Fox Bet promotions
BetStars is the league leader in NJ sportsbook promotions. There’s a long list of promotions available that could inevitably move over to the Fox Bet Sportsbook.
BetStars updates its promotions regularly, mixing ongoing with long-term promos, and Fox Bet in Pennsylvania should do the same. It will be a good idea for customers to keep an eye on the Fox Bet website to make sure they don’t miss any promos.
Here is an example of some of the popular promotions on BetStars that could end up at Fox Bet PA:
- Spin and Bet: This feature mirrors the popular poker-slot hybrid games on TSG’s PokerStars site. It allows players to boost bet winnings up to 10x.
- Weekly Free Bet: Bet $25 in any week and get a free $5 bet.
- Saturday Super Boost: Boosting the odds on specific markets every week.
- Parlay Bonus up to 100%: An even more significant boost on parlay winnings. The more legs in play, the greater the boost. If a player gets an 18-selection parlay correct, he or she will receive the full 100% boost.
- Late Game Insurance: Insurance against last-minute goals and buzzer-beaters.
Fox Bet customers should also expect to find reload bonuses and promotions surrounding major events, including the Super Bowl or the playoffs in several sports.
Fox Bet Sportsbook loyalty program
There could be more in store for Fox Bet customers but, at the very least, they will be able to join the TSG rewards program.
This program offers rewards based on the bet amount, bet type, and game type. Online casino, poker, and sportsbook platforms also share the program.
TSG sites offer customers virtual “treasure chests” as they reach certain milestones. There are different levels with increasingly valuable rewards attached. Chest contents are also personalized, based on a player’s mix of preferred games.
Regular customers can expect to earn free bets or even cash through the program.
Sign up at Fox Bet PA online sportsbook
Opening a new account at Fox Bet will be a simple process. At least, t is at BetStars NJ. TSG understands you don’t build a customer base by making players jump through too many hoops.
If you already have an account set up in New Jersey, you might not even need to set up a new account at Fox Bet in Pennsylvania. You should be able to log in using your Fox Bet NJ account info once BetStars NJ has moved over to the new Fox Bet platform.
After that, Fox Bet will use geolocation technology to ensure you’re in PA and approve you for betting in this state as well.
Of course, you may be new to TSG and Fox Bet. Opening a new account will be almost as easy and require only the following information:
- Phone number
- Last four digits of your Social Security number
Fox Bet will also ask you to create a unique username and password and may require some form of authentication questions for security purposes.
You may also need to provide a photo ID for verification purposes.
Fox Bet sports betting PA app review
TSG understands the sports betting market is increasingly online and will make the Fox Bet mobile app available on the Android and iOS platforms.
The website should also be accessible via mobile browsers.
The apps functionality should mirror the main site; sportsbooks don’t require too many bells and whistles that won’t transfer over easily.
Expect to find fully functioning cashier and account management sections, alongside every available betting market, including live betting. The apps should also feature customer service info at the very least.
Android users will need to download the app from the Fox Bet website. Apple users will hopefully be able to find a uniquely designed iOS app in the App Store. However, with issues getting listed in the app store, it may not be immediately available to iOS users at launch.
Live betting at Fox Bet Sportsbook
Live betting, also called in-game betting, has become an increasingly popular part of mobile sports betting in the US.
Since Fox itself covers so many live sporting events, expect the Fox Bet homepage to highlight what’s happening live and have quick access to those betting markets.
Fox Bet will offer live betting basketball, baseball, hockey, football and even tennis, golf, and soccer.
One can also expect Fox Bet’s in-game lines to include basic spreads and moneylines, alternate lines, and variations on team totals as well.
Responsiveness is the key to great in-game betting options, and the Fox Bet online sportsbook is ready to provide that on the website and through its mobile apps.
Sports betting options
Like the BetStars NJ platform, Fox Bet should expose its customers to a world of sports betting markets.
Fox Bet is also trading in on the popularity of the Fox Sports brand, so expect it to be as much about the sports fan as it is the sports gambler.
Fox Bet Sportsbook PA customers will be able to bet everything from point spreads and moneylines to more advanced bets, including:
- Round robins
Fox Bet software
The BetStars NJ software is as functional as any; furthermore, Fox Bet should do the same great job.
The Fox Bet software should be easy to navigate and highlight all the great Fox Bet promos available. Plus, it may even provide seamless access to Fox Sports programming. Ultimately, a marriage between the two is in the cards.
Fox Bet promotions, contests, and bonuses will be front and center. However, the bet slip and the betting process will be off to the side and easy enough to follow as well.
Considering that it’s Fox, expect better-than-average live game updates and all the information bettors will ever need to make educated bets.
The software will be easy to use and fully functional.
Fox Bet Sportsbook banking options: Deposit and withdrawal methods
Fox Bet Sportsbook should have several deposit methods available. Let’s look at all the options:
Fox Bet’s prepaid card
Fox Bet players should be able to apply for a branded card through the Fox Bet website. Then, add money to it with a Visa, Mastercard, or ACH transfer.
Fox Bet will take credit cards, assuming the issuing bank is okay with that. It may not be, or it may process the transaction as a cash advance with interest charges. Instead, players may be better off using a third-party payment processor that Fox Bet accepts.
Players should keep in mind that with credit cards (and most prepaid cards), the following banks tend to decline transactions with gaming companies:
- Bank of America
- Capital One
- Huntington Bank
- TD Bank
- Union Bank
- Wells Fargo
This popular third-party payment processor allows for immediate money transfers although, its uncertain if this PA sportsbook will accept PayPal.
Those with a checking account can order an e-check and transfer funds electronically to a Fox Bet Sportsbook account. It may require a routing number, account number, and state ID to do it.
Online bank transfer
This method is the online bill pay function available through most bank accounts. The banks where this feature is available, include:
- Bank of America
- Capital One 360
- Wells Fargo
Wiring funds can be costly, so save it for significant amounts.
Players should ultimately be able to deposit cash in their account at Mount Airy Casino Resort in the Poconos.
Bettors might have to wait for it to clear, but checks still work.
Players can usually withdraw winnings from Fox Bet Sportsbook the same method they deposited funds. But even that is limited to:
- ACH (e-check)
- Fox Bet Prepaid Card
Contacting Fox Bet PA Sportsbook
We expect Fox Bet to provide 24/7 customer support.
Check back after launching for phone numbers and email addresses.
Fox Bet’s entry into PA market
Fox Sports is a long-time player in the sports broadcasting industry. TSG is a long-time leader in the online gambling business.
It ultimately found it in TSG, which quickly realized what the Fox brand could do for it as well.
Fox Bet will launch real-money sports betting in markets where it’s legal. Plus, it will continue to build the brand through a nationwide free-to-play game, and award cash prizes to players who correctly predict the outcome of sports games.
Fox Sports CEO and Executive Producer Eric Shanks says Fox Sports is already synonymous with the best live sports events in the country. Fox Bet is just a way of getting the brand more immersed in sports culture.
Fox is looking at sports betting as a revenue stream and a way to connect directly with its existing fan base.
The Stars Group CEO Rafi Ashkenazi said the partnership gives TSG what they really want, which is the chance to build the leading betting business in the US alongside an established sports brand.
While it’s a nationwide initiative, the Fox Bet brand will launch natively in PA first thanks to TSG’s Mount Airy Casino Resort deal. That should also give the Fox Bet brand its first brick-and-mortar home in the US.
