Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia is hosting all of the MLB All-Star break festivities, including the 2026 Home Run Derby, for the first time in 30 years.
theScore Bet Sportsbook PA is giving Pennsylvania bettors a new way to engage with the event with its “Swing for the Sign” promotion. It gives customers a chance at a shared PA sportsbook promos worth up to $100,000 if sluggers hit the operator’s sign in right field at Citizens Bank Park.
Despite there not being an MLB game, the Home Run Derby is still a big part of MLB betting.
How the promotion works
Beginning July 10, customers who opt in and place a $10 wager on any Home Run Derby market with odds of -200 or longer qualify for a share of the bonus jackpot.
The jackpot starts at $50,000 and increases by $10,000 with every home run hit off the sign. The operator is awarding a maximum of $100,000 in bonuses, meaning five home runs off the sign would max it out.
Justin Hergianto, Vice President, Marketing, PENN Interactive, said in an email to PlayPennsylvania:
“The Home Run Derby is one of baseball’s most exciting events, and this promotion gives our players a fun way to be part of the action.
“With the theScore Bet sign in right field at Citizens Bank Park serving as the target, every towering home run has the potential to grow the jackpot, creating another exciting moment for fans watching the Derby.”
To be eligible, all wagers must be placed before the event begins. The payout is split evenly among all customers with qualifying wagers once the event ends.
theScore Bet is one of several Pennsylvania sports betting operators to offer Home Run Derby specials.
Home Run Derby participants announced
Only half of the eight-man field is set for the 2026 Home Run Derby. Participants already committed are:
- Ben Rice: New York Yankees
- Junior Caminero: Tampa Bay Rays
- Jac Caglianone: Kansas City Royals
- Willson Contreras: Boston Red Sox
Rice and Caglianone, both lefties with the best chance to hit the sign, have combined for 26 and 14 home runs, respectively, in the first half of the season.
Fans would welcome hometown heroes Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper, both lefties who would likely pepper the sign in right field. Harper has said he would compete if he could find the right pitcher.
Schwarber, also playing in the All-Star Game, leads the sport in home runs with 32. Harper has belted 20 homers and also notched his ninth All-Star nod.
That would light up the Philly faithful.
