Pennsylvania online casinos produced $277.9 million in gross gaming revenue in July.
The market took a step back in June, producing only $265.3 million. That’s a long way off from the record the industry set back in March, which was $294.2 million. May also came close to the record at $291.7 million.
Overall, Pennsylvania online casinos experienced a month-over-month increase of 4.7% and a year-over-year increase of 29.0% in July, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported this week.
Approaching $2 billion in YTD revenue in July
Pennsylvania online casino revenue rebounded nicely in July and remains in good shape heading into the fall. With July’s output, revenue through seven months is $1.94 billion.
By this point in August, the market has certainly cleared the $2 billion mark for the year. Here’s where online casinos were through July in the three previous years:
- 2022: $920.6 million
- 2023: $1.16 billion
- 2024: $1.48 billion
It’s possible operators crack the $300 million mark prior to the end of 2025.
Bet365 takes a tumble
Bet365 Casino entered the PA market in the summer of 2024 and seemed to generate momentum. That energy seems to have slowed as of late.
Bet365 recorded only $2.8 million in July. That’s significantly down from its output in January. Bet365’s revenue in 2025:
- January: $7.1 million
- February: $5.7 million
- March: $3.4 million
- April: $3.1 million
- May: $2.9 million
- June: $2.1 million
- July: $2.8 million
It appears the operator peaked at the beginning of the year. Time will tell if it can regain its footing.
Hollywood Penn National achieves $100 million again
The Hollywood Penn National license recorded $103.6 million in July. It’s the fourth time the license has crossed $100 million this year.
The license is made up powerhouses such as DraftKings and BetMGM, and other smaller, but formidable, platforms such as Fanatics and Hollywood.
DraftKings Casino and BetMGM Casino are market leaders and speak for themselves. Fanatics Casino and Hollywood Casino have also improved significantly in New Jersey and Michigan.
Pennsylvania gaming regulators do not break down revenue by operator, so it’s difficult to measure the exact improvements. However, it’s likely those operators have done the same in the Keystone State.
