Pennsylvania online casinos produced $283.7 million in September gross revenue, which put the vertical over $11 billion in lifetime earnings, according to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
It’s a slight step back from the record-setting $291.5 million PA online casinos generated in August, which is a bit surprising considering revenue usually ramps up in the fall. Nevertheless, it was a 24.8% increase from September 2024.
The industry will have three more chances in 2025 to beat the record it set back in August.
Another milestone achieved
Surpassing $11 billion in lifetime revenue is a major achievement.
It’s not more than New Jersey, but online gaming was legal there years before Pennsylvania legalized it. The fact is, the Keystone Stone has proven time and time again that it is the No. 1 iGaming market in the US.
Both Michigan and New Jersey have each reported more than $1.8 billion in YTD revenue through August. Pennsylvania had already recorded $2.2 billion through August, which has now increased with September’s total.
Valley Forge doubles up Rivers Philadelphia
The Valley Forge license, which is mostly made up of FanDuel Casino, doubled the total of the Rivers Philadelphia license, which is partnered with BetRivers Casino, Borgata Casino, and PlaySugarHouse.
FanDuel Casino recorded $84.8 million in revenue compared to the trio of operators’ $42.8 million.
FanDuel has become the top operator in the Keystone State, as it finished just $25 million behind Hollywood Penn National, which features DraftKings Casino, BetMGM Casino, and Fanatics Casino.
Hollywood Penn led all licenses at $109.3 million in total revenue.
Bet365 Casino takes another step
Bet365 Casino has been ascending over the last handful of months. September proved to be the operator’s best since February.
Bet365 produced nearly $4.5 million last month, far outpacing the preceding months.
- April: $3.1 million
- May: $2.9 million
- June: $2.6 million
- July: $2.8 million
- August: $3.8 million
- September: $4.5 million
