The online gaming arm of the Mohegan Digital platform, together with the Mohegan Casino, has struck a multi-channel marketing partnership with the Philadelphia Flyers.

The agreement marks a significant push by Mohegan into the Philadelphia market in pursuit of deeper brand engagement among sports fans. It also coincides with Mohegan’s recent launch into the online sports betting vertical.

Multiple Pennsylvania online casinos have partnered with professional sports teams.

Details of partnership

The deal covers a wide range of activations, both in-arena and beyond. Among the headline features: in-game ice-contests for randomly selected fans, digital branding throughout the season, a specialized broadcast segment dubbed “Mohegan Moment” on NBC Sports Philadelphia, and a specially projected “Rink Roulette” experience during select home games.

Guy Greene, VP of Digital Gaming for Mohegan Digital, said in a statement:

“For Mohegan Digital to expand visibility in the Philly market, what better way than collaborating with the Flyers, one of the most storied franchises in pro hockey.

“We’re excited to bring this multi-faceted campaign to life and deliver memorable experiences both on and off the ice.”

Bryan Furey, Senior VP of Corporate Partnerships, echoed the optimism:

“We’re thrilled to provide a platform here in Philadelphia for Mohegan Digital and Mohegan PA Online Casino to reach the most passionate fans in America.

“We appreciate this new partnership and how it will enhance Flyers fans’ experience in Xfinity Mobile Arena and beyond.”

Partnership coincides with sports wagering launch

The timing of the partnership is noteworthy. Mohegan PA recently rolled out sports wagering within its app and web platform, paving the way for its next stage of user acquisition. The Flyers deal gives the operator direct access to a dedicated and locally engaged fan base.

Mohegan Casino offers players over 700 games spanning slots, table games and live dealer offerings, along with daily jackpots. Popular titles include Cash Eruption, Cleopatra, BlackJack Diamond Series, Wheel of Fortune, Deal or No Deal Slingo and 88 Fortunes.

In practice, the partnership will integrate Mohegan branding across Flyers’ gameday and broadcast platforms, while also tying special PA sports betting bonuses, which include parlay boosts around puck-lines and goal-scorers into the fan experience.

In a crowded Pennsylvania iGaming market, where operators chase scale through both digital reach and local relevance, the Flyers deal offers Mohegan a credible on-the-ground foothold in a traditionally hockey-crazed city. For Flyers fans, it means fresh in-arena gimmicks, online rewards and a membership tie-in they can see and feel.

Partnering with professional sports franchises has been a common theme in the Keystone State. BetMGM has deals with all three Pittsburgh teams, and completed the trifecta with the Penguins last week.
