BetMGM Completes Pittsburgh Pro Sports Trifecta With Penguins Deal

BetMGM inks a new deal with the Penguins, completing its Pittsburgh sports trio and offering fans fresh promotions and arena activations.

The online gaming powerhouse BetMGM has entered into a multi-year agreement with the Pittsburgh Penguins. The operator is the team’s official PA sports betting and PA online casino partner.

BetMGM has now completed the trifecta of partnerships in Pittsburgh. It is working with the Steelers, Pirates and now Penguins.

New games to come

Under the deal, BetMGM will implement branded signage and marketing at the team’s home venue, PPG Paints Arena, roll out co-branded social media campaigns, exclusive promotions for fans, and premium hospitality experiences.

Additionally, the operator plans to introduce Penguins-themed iGaming content through its platform in the near future.

BetMGM Chief Marketing Officer Casey Hurbis said in a statement:

“Pittsburgh is home to some of the most iconic sports franchises. This latest collaboration with the Penguins builds on our deep ties across the city and opens new opportunities to engage fans through unforgettable experiences at PPG Paints Arena, and beyond.”

From the Penguins side, Senior Vice President of Partnerships Steve Kelley commented:

“The Pittsburgh Penguins are proud to welcome BetMGM as an Official Sports Betting Partner.

“BetMGM is an established leader, and this partnership furthers our organizational commitment to enhancing the gameday experience for the most passionate fanbase in the National Hockey League.”

For Pennsylvania players and fans, this signals another expansion in the sports wagering ecosystem. BetMGM already holds partnerships with the city’s other major professional sports franchises, and this deal brings its footprint fully into the Penguins’ camp.

Emphasis on RG

Responsible gaming is also emphasized. The partnership highlights BetMGM’s commitment to its GameSense program — an RG initiative developed in partnership with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation and deployed by BetMGM across its mobile and desktop platforms.

As the 2025-26 NHL season proceeds, fans of the Penguins in Pennsylvania will now see the BetMGM brand more visibly at home games and online, hear about exclusive offers tailored to Penguins supporters, and soon may be able to engage with Penguins-themed games and promotions through BetMGM’s sports and iGaming platforms.
