Acrisure Stadium ranked fourth league-wide in year-over-year engagement growth, putting Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania among the strongest markets for rising fan interaction during live games.

The findings underscore how quickly fans at Steelers home games are embracing Pennsylvania sportsbooks compared to previous seasons.

Acrisure Stadium’s engagement growth stands out

While several NFL stadiums posted solid engagement numbers, the biggest differentiator this season has been growth, not just raw totals. Year-over-year engagement growth measures how much fan interaction inside stadiums increased compared to the prior season. And, Acrisure Stadium made one of the largest leaps in the league.

Only three stadiums posted higher growth rates, placing Acrisure fourth overall among all NFL venues. Below are the top five stadiums along with growth in geolocation checks and active account growth, respectively:

  • Gillette Stadium (Patriots): 34.2% and 59%
  • Allegiant Stadium (Raiders): 33.7% and 26%
  • Empower Field at Mile High (Broncos): 25.2% and 24%
  • Acrisure Stadium (Steelers): 19.5% and 17%
  • Bank of America Stadium (Panthers): 10% and 38%

The result highlights a fan base that is not only loyal but increasingly active during games through mobile platforms, digital content, and real-time interactions.

What’s fueling the increase in Pennsylvania

Several factors have contributed to Acrisure Stadium’s surge. Infrastructure upgrades, including expanded Wi-Fi capacity and improved in-stadium connectivity, have made it easier for fans to stay online throughout games.

At the same time, fans are increasingly comfortable using their phones during live sporting events. Fans are clearly making new accounts and checking stats for props.

For Pennsylvania fans, that combination has proven especially effective. The Steelers’ consistently strong home attendance provides a large base of in-stadium users, and the city’s tech-savvy sports culture has helped accelerate adoption year over year.

Growth matters more than ever

Industry analysts note that year-over-year growth is becoming one of the most important engagement metrics for leagues and venues.

While overall engagement rates at top stadiums typically hover in the low double digits, sustained growth signals long-term momentum. Acrisure Stadium’s fourth-place ranking suggests that momentum is firmly in place.

Pennsylvania’s role in the NFL’s digital future

As NFL teams continue investing in in-stadium technology and fan experiences, Pennsylvania is emerging as a key market shaping how fans engage with live football. Acrisure Stadium’s year-over-year growth shows that Steelers fans are not only keeping pace with league-wide trends, they’re helping push them forward.

For the Keystone State, that means football Sundays are becoming more connected, more interactive, and more engaged than ever before.

While it won’t be at Acrisure Stadium, Pennsylvanians will be sure engage in Super Bowl betting this weekend.
