Happy Valley Casino, recently announced that it has selected Konami Gaming’s SYNKROS casino management system to serve as the backbone of its property-wide operations.

Slated to feature 600 slot machines, 30 live table games, a full-service restaurant and more, Happy Valley Casino aims to blend traditional gaming with modern convenience. Central to that vision is SYNKROS — a comprehensive enterprise management system designed to streamline everything from player loyalty to floor operations and marketing.

The property, near Penn State, is scheduled to open in April 2026. It received a Category 4 license from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board back in 2020. Legal proceeds has delayed construction and opening.

What SYNKROS does

At its core, Konami’s SYNKROS system acts as a casino’s operational nerve center. It integrates data from gaming and non-gaming touchpoints to give operators a 360-degree view of patrons and business performance. It also captures real-time data on player activity and patron behavior, enabling targeted marketing, loyalty tracking, and strategic decision-making.

The system also supports traditional casino functions such as slot and table management, bonusing, compliance reporting, and analytics. Its advanced marketing tools help casinos acquire and retain players. The real-time reporting provides insights that empower staff to respond quickly to trends on the floor.

According to Happy Valley leadership, the decision underscores the casino’s commitment to a high-quality guest experience. CEO and General Manager Eric Pearson said in a statement:

“Delivering a top-tier guest experience is core to Happy Valley Casino, as the property looks ahead to opening its doors to future patrons from across the region.

“The level of convenience, efficiency, innovation, and system reliability that Konami’s SYNKROS casino management system provides is central to achieving this mission, both in Happy Valley Casino’s immediate launch phase and in the years to come.”

Enhancing the guest experience

Happy Valley Casino patrons will benefit from several SYNKROS-powered innovations, including the SYNKROS Drink System. It allows on-demand beverage orders at the game device, and the Konetic mobile app for employees, which facilitates faster team responses and improved service on the casino floor.

Randy Caron, Vice President of Systems Sales at Konami Gaming, said the partnership positions Happy Valley Casino “to engage guests, empower team members, and drive long-term success.”

The PGCB has already approved Happy Valley Casino’s slot and table games licenses last month.
