A losing bet still buys something at Fanatics Sportsbook Pennsylvania.
FanCash is Fanatics’ standing rewards currency, running apart from the football season’s Profit Boost promotions, and it pays cash back on every settled wager in Pennsylvania, win or lose.
The size of that payout depends on the odds attached to the bet.
Week 0 of college football betting in Pennsylvania kicks off this week, Saturday, Aug. 29, with the sport’s traditional opening a week later on Sept. 5. The NFL kicks off soon after, unusually spread across four days this year.
Bettors at Pennsylvania sportsbooks are about to enter the heaviest betting stretch of the calendar, and every wager placed through it, hit or miss, adds to a FanCash balance running in the background.

What does the earn rate look like in dollars?
Bet close to even money, -110 or shorter, and the return sits between 0.01% and 1%. Odds from -105 out to +600 pay 1% to 3%. Stretch to +610 through +2,100 and the rate rises to 3% to 6%, climbing as high as 9% to 10% on anything longer than +4,750.
A $30 same-game parlay at +2,000 lands near the top of the scale, and at a 9% earn rate, pays back $2.70 in FanCash regardless of whether the parlay clears. While small on a single ticket, it adds up over a full season of action.
How does FanCash stack up against other sportsbooks’ loyalty programs?
DraftKings Dynasty Rewards, BetMGM Rewards, and Caesars Rewards track points on money won, and each eventually turns those points into bonus funds. Fanatics positions FanCash as the only sportsbook program that rewards every single bet. The real difference between FanCash and other Pennsylvania sports betting promotions shows up in redemption.
FanCash converts at roughly a 1 to 1 rate into either bonus bets at Fanatics Sportsbook or Fanatics’ retail catalog: apparel, trading cards, event tickets, memorabilia. DraftKings, BetMGM and Caesars, all tied to physical casino operations, route their rewards toward hotel stays, dining credit, and other resort perks instead.
Fanatics doesn’t have a casino floor to comp. It has a merchandise business, and that’s where FanCash goes.
There is a clock on it. FanCash expires Dec. 31 of the year it’s earned unless it’s redeemed first, and bonus bets converted from that balance expire 90 days later.
Read the terms and conditions in full before opting in to see whether the program is worth it for how you bet. Bettors have to be 21 or older to participate and physically in the state.
Pennsylvania taxes sportsbook revenue at one of the highest rates in the country, and every promotional dollar an operator spends here costs more than it would almost anywhere else.
Fanatics is spending some of it on a program that pays out on both winning and losing bets. That’s just good math.
