Wheel of Fortune, one of America’s most beloved game shows, is heading to Philadelphia for a rare live contestant search. Fans will have the chance to audition in person at Rivers Casino Philadelphia, marking the first time in over a decade the iconic show has held casting calls in the city.
The auditions take place at The Event Center at Rivers Casino Philadelphia on:
- Thursday, Sept. 18, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Friday, Sept. 19, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Contestants can begin lining up at 10 a.m. each day at the Pennsylvania casino. The event is free to attend, open to those 21 and older, and includes opportunities to win prizes.
Philadelphia part of targeted search
This Philadelphia stop is one of only a handful of in-person auditions nationwide for the upcoming season of Wheel of Fortune. Executive Producer Bellamie Blackstone said the decision to bring the search to Philly was an easy one.
“The Wheel of Fortune fan base in and around Philadelphia is incredible, and we’re excited to tap into that passion to find future contestants.
“We hope the fans bring some of that famous Philly spirit to the event so we can welcome those loyal Wheel Watchers in our studio to spin the Wheel!”
Hopeful contestants will meet directly with the show’s producers, who are scouting for energetic personalities to join the Los Angeles-based tapings. For many, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime shot to move from solving puzzles at home to standing under the bright lights of America’s game.
Rivers Casino Philadelphia is thrilled to serve as the host venue. General Manager Scott Lokke, hired last month, highlighted the significance of the partnership.
“Wheel of Fortune is an entertainment and pop culture icon. Now fans will have the chance to go from their living rooms to the Los Angeles studio to spin that famous wheel and win cash and prizes. Rivers is thrilled to host this unique opportunity for Philly.”
Park for free or take shuttle
Along with the auditions, guests can take advantage of free parking at the casino, plus a complimentary shuttle running throughout the day between the main entrance and Riversuites at The Battery, the property’s boutique hotel across Penn Treaty Park.
For fans of Philadelphia casinos and live entertainment, this casting call is a must-attend event. With only a few Wheel of Fortune contestant searches scheduled across the country, local fans are getting a rare chance to become part of television history.
Online casino presence coming soon
Wheel of Fortune is slated to become a Pennsylvania online casino in the near future. However, there’s not timetable for a launch.
Online casino players can also find Wheel of Fortune slots, which launched in April 2024, on BetMGM Casino. The operator had six Wheel of Fortune themed titles. Those are:
