Pennsylvania online casinos generated approximately $328.6 million before promotional deductions in August.
It marked the market’s 11th consecutive month above $300 million. It was the second highest revenue month this year, just behind March’s $330.8 million.
Revenue increased 12.7% from $291.5 million in August 2025 and rose 5.3% from $312 million in July.
The latest result pushed revenue through the first seven months of 2026 to approximately $2.52 billion. That’s an average of more than $316 million per month, putting the market on pace to approach $3.8 billion by the end of the year.
August was the second month of Pennsylvania’s 2026-27 fiscal year. The market generated a record $3.7 billion in the previous fiscal year.
Online casino revenue after promos reaches $246 million
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) reported $246 million in online casino revenue after promotions during August.
It was 6.25% higher than the $231.2 million reported in August 2025 and a 1.35% increase over July’s $249 million. Operators offered more promos in August than in July, $82 million to $62.9 million.
The $328.6 million total was calculated from the wagering, amount won, and revenue figures in the PGCB’s monthly report.
Pennsylvania online casinos generated approximately $113.4 million in state and local tax revenue during August.
Online slots drive August’s revenue growth
Online slots generated $195.2 million in revenue after promos during August, accounting for approximately 79% of the $246 million reported by the PGCB. Revenue from the category increased 8.8% from $179.3 million a year earlier.
Table game revenue after promos fell 2.57% to $48.1 million, while post-promo online poker revenue decreased 5.15% to $2.37 million.
Pennsylvania remains ahead of Michigan and New Jersey
Michigan online casinos generated $303 million in gross receipts last month, approximately $25.6 million less than Pennsylvania. New Jersey reported $259.3 million in internet gaming revenue, leaving it about $69.3 million behind.
Through August, Pennsylvania has generated approximately $2.52 billion, compared with $2.3 billion in Michigan and $2.13 billion in New Jersey.
Penn National and Valley Forge lead licensees
The PGCB reports online casino revenue by casino license-holder rather than by individual online casino brand.
Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course led with $95 million in revenue, a decrease of 11.7% from 2025. Valley Forge Casino Resort followed with $67 million, down 0.02%, while Rivers Casino Philadelphia generated $39.9 million, an increase of 9%.
Together, the three produced more than 78% of Pennsylvania’s online casino revenue during August.
