Surprisingly, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported a drop in Pennsylvania sportsbook handle during the month.
Total sports wagering handle was $498.5 million last month, 3.29% lower than in August 2025 and down 2.2% month over month.
Overall, PA sports betting revenue was $50.5 million, with taxable revenue of $39.4 million, 19.92% lower when compared to the previous August.

FanDuel maintains its lead
FanDuel Sportsbook led the market in Pennsylvania in August, maintaining a slim lead with $169.3 million in handle and an 11% hold. DraftKings Sportsbook was second with a handle of $161.5 million with a 9% hold.
Fanatics Sportsbook was a distant third with $36.4 million in handle and a 12% hold.
