Hollywood Casino has launched a weeklong online slot tournament for Pennsylvania players, with $21,000 in PENN Play Credits up for grabs through Sept. 28.
The Lightning Link Daily Sprint awards $3,000 to the top 50 players on its leaderboard each day.
To compete, players must join the tournament and make cash wagers on Lightning Link High Stakes or Lightning Link Tiki Fire. The scoring rules change depending on the day, so players should check them before wagering.
The promotion began on Sept. 21. Each round runs from noon until 11:59 a.m. the following day. The final round begins Sept. 27 and ends at 11:59 a.m. on Sept. 28.
Scoring changes from day to day
For the rounds beginning at noon on Sept. 23, 25, and 27, Hollywood Casino awards one point for each winning cash wager of at least $10 on either eligible slot. Players need at least two points to qualify for a leaderboard prize on those days.
The Sept. 24 round works differently: Players earn one point for every 10 cents won on the eligible slots. The minimum qualifying score is 500 points.
On Sept. 26, the tournament uses cumulative cash wagers instead of winning wagers to calculate points. Players earn one point for every $20 wagered on the eligible games and need at least one point to qualify.
Those dates refer to when each daily round begins, not when it ends. For example, the Sept. 27 scoring rules remain in effect until just before noon on Sept. 28.
Regardless of the scoring method, players must meet the minimum point requirement and finish among the day’s top 50 to receive a prize.
What the top 50 players receive
First place on each daily leaderboard receives $1,500 in PENN Play Credits. Second place gets $300, and third place gets $200. Players finishing fourth through 10th receive $50 each, those in 11th through 20th get $35 each, and those in 21st through 50th get $10 each.
If players tie for a position, Hollywood Casino says the player with the higher wagering handle during the promotion receives the higher-valued prize.
These awards are wagering credits, not cash that players can withdraw immediately. Hollywood Casino says the credits will be added to winners’ accounts within 72 hours of each round ending and must be used within three days of receipt.
Winners may use PENN Play Credits on Hollywood Casino games or any markets available on theScore Bet Pennsylvania. The credits carry a one-time wagering requirement before any winnings can be withdrawn.
How Pennsylvania players can enter
Players need an active, verified Hollywood Casino account and must select the “Join Now” prompt each day they want to compete. Joining one round does not automatically enter them in the next.
Only cash wagers on Lightning Link High Stakes and Lightning Link Tiki Fire earn tournament points. Wagers on other online slots or those made with PENN Play Credits will not count, even if the player has joined the tournament.
Players can monitor their score and position on the tournament page as each round progresses. A place in the top 50 before the deadline does not guarantee a prize because the leaderboard can continue to change until the round closes.
