Online casino game supplier Hacksaw Gaming has obtained an iGaming manufacturer license from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board that will allow it to offer its library of games in the state, which is top online casino market in the country. Hacksaw CEO Marcus Cordes said in a statement that getting the license was an “incredible achievement.”
Entering one of the most prominent gaming markets in the U.S. not only allows us to strengthen relationships with existing clients but also introduces our distinctive content to a wider audience. This is a pivotal step in our journey, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds in Pennsylvania and beyond.
The company did not specify when its games will be available at Pennsylvania online casinos, but it should be soon now that the regulatory ground work is in place.
Multiplier-driven mobile games feature prominently with Hacksaw
Hacksaw’s has expanded its presence in the United States market since its launch with prominent online operator DraftKings last year. Many of the game studio’s titles emphasize multipliers that increase volatility and lead to the occasional big payout.
Chaos Crew is a prime example of Hacksaw’s multiplier approach. The game’s theme focuses on a pair of unruly mutants, Cranky Cat and Sketchy Skull. Players earn multipliers when either of these characters appear during a winning spin.
The mutants open their mouths to reveal multipliers. If multiple Cranky or Sketchy symbols are a part of the win, each subsequent mutant offers a bigger multiplier. Players can earn a bonus round by landing three Free Spin symbols in the same turn.
During the bonus round, a multiplier appears over each reel. Every time a Cranky Cat or Sketchy Skull symbol appears during a spin, its multiplier gets added to the counter at the top of the corresponding reel. That increase lasts for the duration of the Free Spins, so the multipliers keep growing.
That’s not all: if a Cranky Cat or Sketchy Skull symbol has a yellow-and-black striped background, its multiplier is applied to all reels.
Hacksaw’s PA license furthers company’s expansion
Pennsylvania is the fourth state in which Hacksaw has obtained a license to operate. The company’s slots titles are already live in three other jurisdictions: Michigan, New Jersey, and West Virginia.
The only markets it hasn’t yet entered are Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Delaware, each of which is limited to only one or two operators.
The Pennsylvania license is a critical one, as the Keystone State is the largest iGaming market in the country. Pennsylvania’s online casinos amassed a record-breaking $245.2 million in revenue in October compared to $220.7 million in Michigan $213.6 million in New Jersey.
