Rivers Casino Pittsburgh’s October promotions start with briefcases.

Ten of them per drawing, to be exact. That’s the setup for the $5,000 Cash Kickoff Tier Drawings on Saturday, the opening event of the second month of the casino’s “Season of Winning.”

There’s a separate drawing for each Rush Rewards tier. Ten names get called at each, and each of those players picks a briefcase. The top prize is $5,000 cash. The rest of the briefcases hold Free Slot Play.

How to enter the $5,000 Cash Kickoff drawings

Every Rush Rewards Club member gets one free entry. Players earn another entry for every five Tier Points starting at 6 a.m. Saturday.

Entries have to be activated at a promotional kiosk. Activation opens at 4 p.m. EDT for Gold Tier members, 5 p.m. for Platinum, and 6 p.m. for Black, an hour ahead of each tier’s drawing.

What’s new for table games players

Happy Hour Hot Table Drawings start tonight and run every Friday in October.

From 5 to 8 p.m., the casino picks one carded table games player every 30 minutes. That player gets $100 in Table Games Match Play.

Here’s the twist. Everyone else at that table playing with a players card gets $50 in Table Games Match Play.

So the whole table gets paid, not just the seat that got picked. Which means the player next to you getting called is good news for you too.

Thursday nights stay in the Party Pit. The Pittsburgh Party Pit Hot Seat Drawings are back from September, picking one carded table games player every 30 minutes from 6:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Each winner drops a chip in Plinko, with a top prize of $1,000 cash each week.

New Rush Rewards members still get $10 in Free Slot Play just for signing up, with the chance to earn up to $1,000 in Free Slot Play from there.

The Sip & Social designer giveaway returns Oct. 21

Rivers Casino Pittsburgh’s monthly Sip & Social is back Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Martorano’s Prime.

One winner picks a prize from a catalog of designer goods: Jimmy Choo shoes; Louis Vuitton purses; accessories from Gucci, Celine, and Tiffany & Co.

And yes, the menu got the designer treatment too. Gucci Gravy is braised ribs and ricotta gnocchi. The Red Sole Caprese Crostini comes topped with burrata.

Reservations are required. The next Sip & Social is set for Wednesday, Nov. 18.

Martorano’s Prime also refreshed its regular menu for fall, adding a Gorgonzola wedge, shrimp, and crab scampi and Chicken Sicilian. The Lobster Mac & Cheese that came back during Retro Rivers in March is now on the menu for good, per the casino.

Fight nights at BetRivers Sportsbook

BetRivers Sportsbook will show UFC 332 – Natalia Silva vs. Wang Cong – at 9 p.m. Saturday, and UFC 333 – Alexander Volkanovski vs. Movsar Evloev – at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24. Pro and college football runs all month, with DJs every Friday and Saturday from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.

For reservations for both fights, and for booths and lounge chairs during football, go through RiversCasino.com/Pittsburgh.

The designer catalog comes back Nov. 18.

The briefcases are a one-day deal.
