Rivers Casino Philadelphia has added a blackjack variant with a progressive jackpot listed above $180,000.

The casino’s November poker lineup also includes more than $250,000 in cash-game promotions, along with five tournaments scheduled over Thanksgiving weekend.

The casino announced the November offerings Oct. 30. They include Player’s Edge 21 Monster Match, which gives blackjack players the option to place a separate progressive wager alongside their bet on the main game.

Monster Match adds an optional progressive wager to blackjack

Player’s Edge 21 uses Spanish-style decks with the four numbered 10s removed from each deck. The remaining 48 cards include jacks, queens, and kings, all of which retain their 10-point value during play.

The Monster Match side bet is based on a four-card combination made up of the player’s first two cards and the dealer’s first two cards.

Pennsylvania’s rules allow winning combinations that include suited pairs, three of a kind, and four of a kind. The payout can also depend on whether cards of the same rank share a color or suit.

A qualifying hand does not necessarily win the full progressive jackpot. Before placing the side bet, players should check the required wager and the payout for each qualifying hand.

Rivers listed the Monster Match jackpot at $183,286.43 as of Oct. 27, although the amount available when a player visits may differ from that posted figure.

Holiday Deepstack weekend headlines November poker schedule

The Holiday Deepstack weekend will feature five events, beginning Friday, Nov. 27, and continuing through Sunday, Nov. 29.

Players can check the casino’s poker website, @RiversPokerPhl on X, or Bravo Poker Live for additional tournament information.

For players who prefer cash games, Rivers’ November promotions total more than $250,000, with high-hand payouts reaching $1,000 at selected times throughout the month.

The poker room’s calendar lists $1,000 high-hand promotions on Friday, Nov. 6, and Saturday, Nov. 7. Both dates also feature sessions offering $250 and $400 high-hand payouts. Players should check the hours for their preferred promotion before planning a visit.

The room also has no-limit hold’em tournaments scheduled earlier in November, with the following buy-ins listed on its calendar:

  • Wednesday, Nov. 4, and Thursday, Nov. 5: $130 Ultra Stack
  • Friday, Nov. 6: $140 Mini Monster Stack and $80 Midnight Madness
  • Saturday, Nov. 7: $120 Deepstack Turbo Green Chip Bounty and $160 Monster Stack
  • Sunday, Nov. 8: $140 Mini Monster Stack

Cash-game players can call (215) 717-3883 to put their names on the waiting list for a live game in the casino’s 28-table poker room.

Rivers offers $10 blackjack and Saturday table rewards

Rivers also advertises blackjack with a $10 minimum wager around the clock, seven days a week. Players can find select table games with a $5 minimum each day, including Ultimate Texas Hold’em, Three Card Poker, Mississippi Stud, and High Card Flush.

Players interested in Player’s Edge 21 should check the minimum wagers for the main game and the Monster Match side bet separately, as the advertised $10 blackjack minimum may not apply.

On Saturdays in November, Rush Rewards members can receive a $100 Direct Bet coupon for every four hours of same-day rated table-game play. The coupon can be used to place a wager but cannot be redeemed directly for cash.

Rivers Casino Philadelphia is located at 1001 N. Delaware Ave. in Fishtown, along the Delaware River waterfront.
