The Pennsylvania Gaming Control (PGCB) recently approved Play’n Go for an online casino manufacturer license in the Keystone State. The game supplier company wasted no time and has already announced a partnership with BetRivers.

Play’n Go becomes another game manufacturing company that enters the PA online casino market, which leads all markets in online casino revenue.

PGCB confirms Play’n Go license and partnership with PA gambling operator

Doug Harbach, PGCB Director of Communications, told PlayPennsylvania on Thursday that Play’n Go had been granted a license on April 5 and received approval on the same day to partner with BetRivers Casino PA.

While it took nearly a week to become official, Play’n Go announced it is teaming up with BetRivers to bring its games to Pennsylvania players.

Play’n Go reported that it went live in Delaware, too, making Pennsylvania and Delaware the fifth and sixth online casino markets, respectively, where the company operates.

Play’n Go works with BetRivers in Michigan, New Jersey, and West Virginia, which should make for a seamless transition in the Keystone State. Magnus Natt och Dag, Play’n GO Commercial Director North America, said in a press release:

“We’re excited to expand our US offering into the great state of Pennsylvania and are proud to do so with the innovative and well-respected team at BetRivers, with whom we’ve already enjoyed such great success in recent months. Play’n GO is committed to a safe, sustainable, entertainment-led industry, and we know that the team at BetRivers share that same vision.”

Popular Play’n Go games coming Keystone State online casino players

Play’n Go has a portfolio of more than 300 slot games. It also offers table games such as blackjack, roulette, craps and more. However, most players are going to benefit from the game supplier’s PA slots. Some of its most popular titles include:

  • Reactoonz
  • Boat Bonanza
  • Piggy Blitz
  • Diamond Vortex
  • Riddle Reels

The company announced in March that it is releasing more than 50 slots this year. Richard Schwartz, Rush Street Interactive CEO said:

“We’re very happy to be expanding our partnership with Play’n Go into Pennsylvania on our BetRivers platform. Play’n Go has an impressive portfolio of popular titles and we are thrilled to offer our BetRivers PA players their innovative and top-quality games.”

The PGCB does not break down revenue by operator, so it’s difficult to tell exactly how BetRivers performs. In partnership with Rivers Casino Philadelphia, along with Borgata Casino PA and PlaySugarHouse Casino PA, the licensee has generated $72.3 million in YTD revenue. That trails the following:

  • Hollywood Penn National: $149.2 million
  • Valley Forge Casino: $109.8 million

BetRivers is a well-respected platform in the state. However, DraftKings Casino PA, partnered with Hollywood, is the clear market leader. The operator produced nearly $60 million in February revenue, according to The EKG Line newsletter.

While catching DraftKings is a tall task, BetRivers has still etched significant market share in Pennsylvania. It’s partnership with Play’n Go should only improve its standing.
