Live! Casino Pittsburgh is expanding its dining lineup with a new Italian market and eatery developed in partnership with a well-known Westmoreland County food brand, further diversifying food options at the Westmoreland Mall property.

The Hempfield Township casino announced Monday that it will open Mangia featuring DeLallo in April, adding a fast-casual concept that combines made-to-order meals, grab-and-go items and a retail marketplace stocked with specialty Italian goods. The new venue will be located at the casino’s front entrance and will be accessible to guests of all ages.

Mangia featuring DeLallo set to open in April

Mangia will offer Italian comfort food with both dine-in and takeout options. Casino officials said the concept is designed for guests seeking quick, fresh meals, whether they are on the gaming floor or visiting the property for dining and entertainment.

Live! Casino Pittsburgh, which opened in 2020, features 750 slots, 40 live table games, a poker room and a FanDuel Sportsbook, along with multiple bars and restaurants.

Local brand brings Italian market roots

DeLallo, based in nearby Jeannette, is a fourth-generation, family-owned Italian foods company founded in 1950. What began as a roadside Italian market has grown into a nationally recognized brand, with products sold in supermarkets across the country.

“We’re proud to attach our name and reputation to Live! Casino,” Fran DeLallo said in a statement. “This community is our home, and expanding here allows us to share the same recipes, service and atmosphere our guests know and trust with an even wider audience.”

The partnership continues Live! Casino’s strategy of working with local and regional brands for its food and beverage offerings.

“This new dining concept is a culmination of our continued desire to partner with local businesses and provide our guests with high-quality dining options and service,” General Manager Sean Sullivan said in a statement.

Quick-serve options, retail marketplace and gelato

Mangia will serve hoagies, pizza, pasta, salads and desserts, along with craft cocktails, wines and Italian sodas for guests who choose to dine in. The marketplace portion will feature DeLallo staples such as dried pastas, sauces, oils, spreads, meats, cheeses, gift baskets and chocolate-covered pretzels. Catering will also be available for special events.

A Mangia Express window will provide direct access from the casino floor, allowing guests to quickly purchase prepared foods and Illy coffee drinks, including cappuccinos and lattes with seasonal flavors.

The concept also includes a gelato cart offering flavors such as vanilla, chocolate and tiramisu, along with rotating monthly selections. Guests can order Italian cream sodas — including Strawberry Basil, Chocolate Cherry and Sicilian Sunrise — from a craft soda machine.

Live! Casino will host a hiring event specifically for Mangia on March 9 from noon to 4 p.m. Additional information is available at WorkatLive.com.
