When it gets cold for Pennsylvania casino players in Pittsburgh, visitors will be able to stay overnight without having to go outside. The Landing Hotel will be attached to Rivers Casino Pittsburgh, which will put guests steps away from the gaming floor and the amenities of a new hotel.

The Landing Hotel at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh had a target date of October to officially open. Reservations are being accepted starting on November 7.

The Landing Hotel at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh details

  • Location: 777 Casino Dr, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. The hotel will connect directly to Rivers Casino Pittsburgh.
  • Size: 133,000 square feet, seven stories high
  • Number of rooms: 219
  • Suites: Included among the guest rooms are 10 luxury terrace suites, each with private first-floor patios.
  • Cost of project: $60 million (all privately funded)
  • Amenities: Bar and restaurant offering views of the river and city; Steps away from Heinz Field and PNC Park; Space for Weddings, holiday parties and corporate events

Visitors can expect a beautiful interior design that features the themes and colors of Pittsburgh.

In a press release, Rivers Casino Pittsburgh provided details of what visitors can expect from the new hotel. Klai Juba Wald is the interior designer and architect of record for The Landing Hotel Pittsburgh. The Landing Hotel will feature color palette of deep blues and rich gold, tactile finishes and artwork in each room will have local themes.

The hotel plans to play on its prime riverfront location with expansive windows on every level, unobstructed views of the three rivers, and the fountain at Point State Park and Mount Washington.

Reservations for The Landing Hotel at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh can be made online or by phone. The hotel is taking reservations starting on November 7.

Rivers Casino Pittsburgh General Manager Bud Green spoke in front of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board on Sept. 21 and said, “if all the stars align, we will be opening this evening.” As of Sept. 22, it appears the hotel is not open as no official announcement of a grand opening has been made.

The website still says, “Coming Soon To Rivers Casino Pittsburgh.”

Back in July, The Landing Hotel started taking reservations for October and those reservation will be honored, according to a casino employee.

Rates that night start at $219 for a standard king room and go up to $419 for a double queen terrace suite.

Visitors can enjoy free breakfast and free valet parking during their stay.

The Landing Hotel does not have a pool.
