Happy Valley Casino is hosting a recruiting event next week for several open positions the property wishes to fill before opening in April.
The casino is set to become the 18th retail property to open in the state, which is near Penn State’s campus. Happy Valley Casino still has a number of roles that remain open.
In addition, the casino is also offering a promotion that gives future customers a chance to win free slot play.

Happy Valley Casino is partnering with PA CareerLink Centre County to put an event together for potential employees. There are two recruitment events next week, which are scheduled for:
- Tuesday, Feb. 24: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Thursday, Feb. 26: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Both events are taking place at 240 Match Factory Place, Bellefonte, PA, 16823. Potential employees are encouraged to bring resumes for the following open positions:
- IT support
- Guest services
- Security and survaillence
- Slot operations
- Table games
- Food and beverage
- Revenue audit and cage cashiers
- Engineering and facilities
Pre-opening promo
The casino is holding a Countdown to Opening game, which gives guests an opportunity to win even before the property opens.
To play, guests must enter names and email address for a chance to win. Customers can win between $10 and $100 in free slot play, General Manager Eric Pearson said.
“Even before we open our doors, we want guests to feel welcomed and rewarded. The Countdown to Opening game builds anticipation while giving our guests a preview of the fun and rewards they can expect when we open this spring.”
Players can redeem prizes at the casino’s Players Club upon opening.

Slated to open in April
Happy Valley Casino remains on track to open by April. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has already granted the property with slots and table games licenses.
The PGCB also approved the change of ownership last June, which now has Saratoga Casino Holdings owning a majority stake in the casino.
The property is scheduled to open with 600 slots and 30 table games. Happy Valley Casino is likely to increase to 750 slots in the near future.
