The long anticipated wait for Fanatics to enter the Pennsylvania online gambling market is over. Fanatics launched in the Keystone State with a sportsbook and online casino earlier today.

Since Fanatics is taking the place of PointsBet, the state still offers 13 sportsbooks and 21 casinos online. Fanatics Casino PA is debuting with slots, table games and live dealer titles for players, with some impressive promotions. Meanwhile, the Fanatics PA sportsbook is bringing a new twist to PA bettors with its FanCash rewards system.

Fanatics goes live in Keystone State with branded online casino

In a press release emailed to PlayPennsylvania, Fanatics announced an official launch in the Keystone State on Monday, joining the ranks of the new online casinos in PA. Fanatics is currently subject to a soft launch under the supervision of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB).

Despite the soft launch, customers can start the process of downloading the Fanatics sports betting app. The branded casino can be found through the sportsbook app.

As reported last week, Fanatics appeared ready to go live in the PA market. Any previous customers of PointsBet had their information automatically transferred. The press release said:

“Today in Pennsylvania only, each PointsBet customer’s username, password, account balance, rewards points and responsible gaming settings will be automatically migrated to the Fanatics Sportsbook.”

Pennsylvania marks the 11th state for Fanatics Sportsbook and the second for Fanatics Casino. The operator debuted the first iteration of its branded online casino in West Virginia last November.

What does the casino app look like from Fanatics?

There has been speculation for months about how Fanatics’ product would be within both verticals. Fanatics’ online casino in West Virginia gave a taste of what we could see in the Keystone State.

Fanatics is starting with slots, table games and live dealer options. The operator partnered with a well-respected game manufacturer, Light & Wonder, to release some popular PA slots titles. Some of those include:

  • 88 Fortunes
  • Jin Ji Bao
  • Endless Treasures
  • Dancing Drum Explosions
  • Ultimate Fire Link
  • China Street

The casino opened with 85 total slots, with more expected to come.

In addition to slots, Fanatics partnered with Evolution Gaming to provide some of the top live dealer games. Its library includes:

  • Blackjack
  • American Roulette
  • European Roulette
  • Texas Hold’Em
  • Baccarat
  • Craps
  • Three Card Poker
  • Football Studio

Fanatics also might offer one of the best promotions among any operator. Customers can earn FanCash betting on sports and playing casino games. FanCash can be redeemed as bonus bets or as merchandise on Fanatics’ website.

Customers can earn FanCash through the following ways on the casino:

  • Slots: 0.2% of wager
  • Table games: 0.05% of wager

What Keystone State bettors can expect from Fanatics Sportsbook

Fanatics has the brand awareness and customer base to potentially compete with market leaders such as FanDuel Sportsbook PA and DraftKings Sportsbook PA.

It also has the promotional capabilities that no other operator has. FanCash applies to the sportsbook, as well. Customers can rack up FanCash through the following ways:

  • Straight bet: Up to 1% of the amount bet
  • Parlay bet: Up to 3% of the amount bet
  • Same-game parlay: Up to 5% of the amount bet

It’s an incredibly enticing way to get bettors to use Fanatics as a preferred sportsbook option.

Fanatics says it offers industry-leading functionality, including a search bar in which nicknames can be used to easily find player props. For example, instead of searching for “Christian McCaffrey,” customers can simply type in “CMC,” which should pull up all of his props for the next game.

The homepage of the sportsbook is going to be personalized, too. The press release said:

“The Fanatics Sportsbook Discover page features marquee games, trending bets, promos and the rewards you want most. In the near future, the Discover page will be personalized to the customer’s favorite teams, sports and markets.”

Fanatics officials told PlayPennsylvania the details of the first sportsbook bet placed on the app. A $5 same-game parlay between the Sixers and Spurs needs the following legs to hit:

  • Joel Embiid Alt Points over 34.5 (-130) and Alt. Rebounds over 13.5 (+110)
  • Victor Wembanyama Alt Points over 24.5 (+140) and Alt Rebounds over 9.5 (-105)

It’ll be interesting to see how Fanatics competes with the biggest operators in the market. It certainly has a chance to make some serious noise.
