DraftKings is expanding the systems it uses to detect suspicious betting activity, prevent prohibited wagering, and address customers who threaten athletes or officials.
The changes apply across the operator’s regulated sportsbook and prediction market platforms.
For Pennsylvania customers using DraftKings Sportsbook PA, most of the additional monitoring will take place behind the scenes as the company reviews accounts and betting patterns.
DraftKings expanded its agreement with Integrity Compliance 360 (IC360) on Sept. 8. The company will use four IC360 products across DraftKings Sportsbook, DKeX, and DraftKings Predictions.
The tools serve different purposes but share the same broader goal: preventing people with inside information from participating, identifying unusual betting or trading, and responding to customers who harass people involved in sports.

DraftKings adds real-time monitoring for suspicious activity
IC360 will provide real-time integrity monitoring across DraftKings’ sports-related platforms. The system reviews betting and trading patterns and alerts the operator when it detects activity that differs from what would normally be expected in a market.
DraftKings’ compliance team can then review the activity and determine whether further action is necessary. The expanded agreement also includes IC360’s ProhiBet system for DraftKings Sportsbook. ProhiBet maintains an encrypted and continuously updated list of people who are prohibited from betting on certain sports.
That can include athletes, coaches, trainers, officials, and league or team employees who could influence an event or have access to information unavailable to the public. DraftKings can compare customer accounts against the list and restrict prohibited individuals from placing wagers.
Pennsylvania already has sports betting rules intended to prevent those groups from betting on events connected to their sport. Athletes, coaches, officials, and certain team employees with access to nonpublic information are among those who may be prohibited from wagering on related events.
The IC360 system gives DraftKings an additional way to identify those individuals and enforce the restrictions through its sportsbook.
Insider-trading controls extend to prediction markets
DraftKings will use a separate IC360 product called ProhiTrade across DKeX and DraftKings Predictions.
It is designed to prevent people with inside information from trading event contracts tied to outcomes they can influence. The expansion comes as Pennsylvania lawmakers consider legislation targeting insider trading on prediction markets.
The concept is similar to the protections used for traditional sports betting, but ProhiTrade applies them to prediction markets. Those platforms allow customers to buy and sell contracts based on whether a particular event will occur.
The agreement gives DraftKings similar integrity controls across its sportsbook and prediction market platforms.
Threats against athletes could lead to account bans
The agreement also brings DraftKings into ProhiBet Bad Actors, IC360’s anti-harassment program.
The system identifies people who use DraftKings’ platforms to threaten, harass, or abuse athletes, coaches, officials, and other sports figures. That includes conduct connected to a lost wager or an unfavorable result.
DraftKings is not the first Pennsylvania sportsbook to adopt the program. Fanatics Sportsbook joined ProhiBet Bad Actors earlier this year.
The broader program uses Signify Group’s Threat Matrix service to monitor public social media activity and review abusive direct messages reported by athletes and officials. Submitted reports are assessed by severity, with serious cases escalated for further investigation. Individuals linked to problematic abuse or threats can then be added to the ProhiBet Bad Actors system.
DraftKings can suspend or permanently close the accounts of customers flagged through the program. When appropriate, evidence may also be shared with leagues, teams, or law enforcement.
For most Pennsylvania bettors, the expansion will not change how they place wagers through the DraftKings app. Its main effect will be additional monitoring intended to identify suspicious activity, keep prohibited participants out of certain markets, and impose consequences when betting losses lead to threats or harassment.
