Best Big Game betting apps 2026

Which are the best apps to use for the big game 60? Here are our top recommended options in Pennsylvania to consider for opening up an account and wagering on the current matchups.

Best free Big Game contests

If you’re not quite ready to put a bet down on the Big Game winner, there are a few high-value free contests you can try out as well.

Free to Play $75,000 Big Game Squares

draftkings free super bowl squaresDraftKings Sportsbook typically offers its free Big Game Squares contest that lets anyone in the US win a share of a big prize pool. It’s a standard squares contest like the one you might find at your office or local bar.

You pick a square, DraftKings randomly attributes numbers to the squares, and those that match up with the last digits of each team’s quarter of halftime score win.

A few years back, DraftKings upped the prize pool to $75,000. Prizes break down as follows:

  • 1st quarter: $11,250
  • First half: $22,500
  • 3rd quarter: $11,250
  • Final score: $30,000

BetRivers Sportsbook has featured Big Game Squares promos of its own in years past, and could do so again this year.

FanDuel’s Kick of Destiny

Previously, FanDuel Sportsbook held a Kick of Destiny, where former athletes such as Rob Gronkowski, Eli Manning, and Peyton Manning kicked field goals. No money was required to bet, as users picked if the athlete would make or miss his kick. In return, users received free bets to use on FanDuel if their prediction was correct.

Caesars’ Big Game Drawings

In previous leagues, a Caesars Sportsbook promo invited any player with an account and a Caesars Reward member to enter a drawing to be one of 36 winners to share in $45,000 worth of prizes that include the Big Game tickets, trips to viewing parties at Caesars properties, and Reward Credits.

How to bet on the championship game online in PA

Sign up for one of the recommended sites through one of our exclusive links, and you’ll find the most current big game markets listed directly in the lobby. Standard single-game wagers, including point spreads, moneylines, and over/unders, will all be available ahead of the game and during the game.

Championship game live betting

Live betting allows you to bet on the current big game odds that change throughout the game, depending on the action. You can do this at any retail sportsbook in PA, but the odds on the bet you want are pretty likely to change by the time you get to the betting window. That’s why it’s best to save the live betting for your favorite PA sports betting app, where there’s no waiting in line; betting with live odds is simply a click away.

DraftKings and FanDuel are the top choices when it comes to live betting. Each will have standard moneylines, point spreads, and totals live betting markets open throughout the championship game. Plus, each will also have a variety of props you can bet on at odds that will continually adjust throughout the game.

Big game prop bets

Sites and apps have been beefing up their prop betting options. During the NFL season, bettors had more options than ever to choose from regarding player prop betting. Big Game 59 will be filled with prop bets such as team props and player props.

Standard props include:

  • Which team or player will score first?
  • Which team will score the first touchdown?
  • How many touchdown passes will each quarterback throw?
  • Player over/under passing yards
  • Player over/under rushing yards
  • Player over/under receiving yards

Expect dozens more, including the Big Game MVP market. While the real outlandish big game prop bets won’t be legal in PA, you should be able to bet on things like:

  • If a quarter will be scoreless.
  • The total touchdowns scored.
  • The total number of offensive plays.
  • The total number of players with a pass attempt.
  • The over/under on quarterback ratings.

How to bet on the Big Game MVP

A QB winning the award is not much of a surprise. A quarterback has earned the Big Game MVP award 31 times in the event’s 55-year history. That’s obviously more than half the time, making it a good bet a quarterback will win it every year.

The odds are so much in favor of a quarterback winning MVP that an excellent way to predict the MVP is to pick the favorite and go with that team’s QB.

Big game betting tips

If you’re betting on the Big Game for the first time, try these three tips:

  • Keep It Simple: Pick a team and bet the moneyline. If they win, you win. There’s no easier way to bet on the championship game than this.
  • Read All About It: Read all about the big game before you bet on it. Don’t pay for picks; develop your own by consuming as much content as you can before placing a bet. The most successful bets are usually the well-researched ones.
  • Browsing Is Free: Browsing through the many big game betting markets won’t cost you a dime, and it’ll give you a feel for the kind of things people bet on The Big Game Sunday. If you’ve followed the second tip above and read enough about the game, you may even come across a bet or two that calls out to you.

Where to bet on the Big Game in person in PA

There’s just nothing quite like betting on the Big Game, and being able to wager live in person is now a real thing here in Pennsylvania. Here are some in-person betting locations to consider as you head out to watch the Big Game. The latest odds will be prominently displayed in each spot.

Greatest Super Bowl upsets

The Denver was a 3.5-point favorite heading into the Big Game 22 against Washington. However, unheralded QB Doug Williams outdueled all-world Denver’s QB John Elway en route to a 42-10 upset. Washington dropped four touchdowns in consecutive drives and scored 35 points in the second quarter to put it away early.

The New England were 12.5-point favorites heading into Big Game 42 against the New York. As far as spreads are concerned, this is close to the biggest upset in the league’s history. New York was a 10-6 regular season team, nobody gave a chance to win against the undefeated New England. Yet somehow, NY QB Eli Manning threw a TD pass to Plaxico Burress with 35 seconds left, and they did it.

The New York Jets’ big game 3 win over the Baltimore is still widely considered the greatest upset in the league’s history. The Baltimore was 17.5-point favorites, and only New York’s QB Joe Namath was predicting a win. The New York won 16-7, changing pro football and Namath’s life forever.

Super Bowl Betting FAQ

Yes, betting on the Big Game is perfectly legal in Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania legalized both in-person and online single-game wagering in the wake of a 2018 Supreme Court decision putting the question of legalization in the hands of the states.

There are still illegal offshore options that try to attract PA gamblers. The best way to pick a legal site is to make sure you see the PGCB’s stamp of approval on the site. Other than that, stick to the sites you see mentioned here at PlayPennsylvania.com. We only provide links to legal and regulated online gambling options.

Super Bowl 60 was played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, on February 8, 2026.

The AGA estimates Americans bet as much as $7 billion on the Big Game every year.

Big Game pools, otherwise known as squares contests, are the kind of championship action you might find at your office or local bar. Players buy squares, and the pool operator randomly attributes numbers to the squares on a grid. Ultimately, the prize pool is split between the owners of the squares that match the score at the end of each quarter and half.

Estimates of viewership of Super Bowl 59  last year suggested something around 128 million watched the game, making it the most-watched ever. That total counted both those who watched the televised broadcast and those who chose to watch via one of the available streaming options.
