A brand new hotel is coming to Parx Casino in Bensalem.
The Bensalem casino announced plans to build a 13-story, 300-room luxury hotel in a township meeting on March 13.
Details of new hotel at Parx Casino Bensalem
PlayPennsylvania first reported Parx Casino’s plans to build a hotel in Bensalem more than a year ago.
Mike Meginniss, legal council for the Parx Casino hotel project, announced the approval of hotel plans Parx has for Bensalem. The hotel will be attached to the casino by a walkway, and will come with many amenities.
The hotel will have a convention center, which will be 14,000 square-feet, to host many events such as weddings and business conferences, holding a maximum of 800 people. There are going to be two restaurants, with one in the lobby and another on the rooftop with views south of the city. The rooftop restaurant can hold up to 260 guests.
The structure will be a 13-story building with 11 guest levels, standing 158-feet tall.
Other amenities the hotel offers include:
- Coffee shop
- Spa
- Fitness center
“We look at this as the continuation of an ongoing investment in the Bensalem community at this location,” Meginniss said at the township meeting. “As you can imagine, it’s a multi-million dollar project. This is one that Parx prides themselves on delivering the highest quality product and we look forward to that continuing to be the case.”
Construction is expected to begin by this year and be completed by some point in 2025, according to Meginniss. The township noted a fear of projects being passed but then having no action.
“This is not speculative on our part, we’re eager to move forward,” Meginniss said.
Parx to join several other Pennsylvania casinos with hotels
Parx joins Live! Casino Philadelphia and Valley Forge Casino Resort as PA casino facilities in Southeastern PA with hotels. Rivers Casino Philadelphia and Harrah’s Philadelphia do not have them.

Parx eyes to stay ahead of competition
Parx’s plans to build a hotel in Bensalem are giving them much needed ammunition to stay ahead of its competition.
After all, Parx just opened another casino in Shippensburg last month.
Parx is one of the top grossing casinos in the state.
In 2021, Parx slot machine revenue totaled $393.8 million, leading Wind Creek by far, which totaled $272.1 million in revenue.
Parx is second in the state in table games, recording $204.9 million in revenue. Wind Creek led the state with 243.7 million in revenue.
Adding a hotel to the Bensalem region would certainly attract more people. Parx’s slots and table games revenue should increase after completing the hotel.
