Poet Robert Frost once wrote: “If we couldn’t laugh, we would all go insane.”
Comedy fans in Pennsylvania will have plenty of chances to stave off insanity this summer at Valley Forge Casino Resort.
The Stress Factory Comedy Club opens this week in the King of Prussia casino. The new venue promises high-energy performances and a steady stream of talented comedic talent.
The grand opening is Friday, July 10, launching a weekend of laughs headlined by edgy comedian Michael Colyar.
Comedy club will host top-level talent
The club is an exciting collaboration with the renowned Stress Factory, a comedy club chain with venues in New Jersey and Connecticut.
The launch comes amidst extensive property-wide renovations at the Valley Forge Casino Resort, with the comedy club poised to become a key part of its revitalized entertainment offerings.
The Stress Factory Comedy Club will host shows on Fridays at 7 p.m. and Saturdays at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., giving guests multiple opportunities to catch a show.
Beyond the inaugural weekend, the summer lineup boasts big names like Rich Vos, Talent Harris, and Craig Shoemaker, with more acts to be announced soon. The aim is to establish the venue as a premier, year-round destination for live comedy in the greater Philadelphia area.
Martha Morales, VP and GM of Valley Forge Casino Resort, emphasized the significance of this new addition.
“Elevating our live entertainment is a crucial element of the reimagined Valley Forge Casino Resort experience. Our partnership with Stress Factory perfectly aligns with our ongoing transformation and highlights our dedication to offering memorable experiences for our guests.”
Comedy, comfort food and cocktails
Located conveniently beneath the newly renovated Stardust Tower, the comedy club is designed to provide an intimate and immersive experience. It boasts a state-of-the-art setup with optimized sightlines and acoustics, ensuring every joke lands perfectly.
Laughter is one thing, but patrons can also indulge in a full bar offering craft cocktails and a specialty menu featuring comfort-driven fare. Highlights include Bavarian pretzels with beer cheese and mustard, gourmet flatbreads like the “3 Pigs” (bacon, sausage, and pepperoni), and handheld favorites such as chicken quesadillas and Caprese paninis.
Vinnie Brand, owner of Stress Factory, expressed his enthusiasm for the new club.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Valley Forge Casino Resort and introduce the Stress Factory brand to the Pennsylvania market. This new location allows us to bring nationally recognized comedians to the region, and we’re excited to contribute to the area’s burgeoning live entertainment scene.”
Tickets for shows at the resort are currently available for purchase at https://valleyforge.stressfactory.com/, with prices starting at $25. All attendees must be 21 or older.
