Live! Casino Pittsburgh is tying its football season promotions directly to the scoreboard this year, and the payout climbs every time the home team scores.
The Westmoreland Mall casino in Hempfield Township opens its 2026 football slate this Sunday, Sept. 13, with the Pittsburgh Steelers hosting the Atlanta Falcons at 1 p.m. EDT at Acrisure Stadium. Live! Casino built its entire game-day operation around NFL bettors and fans.
There’s giveaways, tailgate specials, a live DJ, and a jersey drawing tied to beer sales.
The pitch is simple. Watch the game here, and the casino gives something back for every score on the field, not just for every dollar played.
What Live! Casino’s football season promotions actually pay out
The centerpiece is the Gold Zone Progressive, a Free Play pool built around the Steelers’ offense.
It adds $300 in Free Play after every field goal, $700 after every touchdown. All of it is during what the casino calls Black and Gold games, its shorthand for Steelers game days.
Getting in takes more than showing up. Live! Rewards members have to earn 1,000 tier credits while actively playing during a Black and Gold game, then activate the promotion at a kiosk on the floor. On slots, Live! Casino Pittsburgh’s own rewards program runs tier credits one for every dollar of coin-in, so 1,000 tier credits works out to roughly $1,000 in slot machine action during that single game, regardless of whether it wins or loses.
Table games earn credits on a sliding scale based on game type, length of play, and average bet.
Sunday’s opener carries its own extras on top of that. Every Miller Lite purchase earns one entry into a drawing for a mystery jersey, and a separate drawing sends one winner to the Nov. 1 game against the Cleveland Browns, also a home date at Acrisure Stadium. Halftime games, prizes, and Black and Gold swag round out the afternoon.
The real numbers behind the specials
Here’s what’s offered at Live! Casino on Sundays:
- Tailgate Package: $65 for a nacho platter, 24 boneless wings and a Miller Lite beer tower, available at Sports and Social during every game of the season. Buy one on a Black and Gold game day and it comes with a pull tab, redeemable at the Live! Promotions Booth.
- Rail tables: Reserve one of the seats closest to the 40-foot media wall. It takes a $50 minimum food and beverage purchase per person, and all six seats have to be bought to hold the table.
- Gold Zone Progressive: $300 in Free Play per field goal, $700 per touchdown, on top of the 1,000 tier credits and kiosk activation described above.
Everyone taking part in the food and drink promotions has to be a Live! Rewards member and at least 21 years old, the standard floor minimum under Pennsylvania gaming law. None of this travels outside the Westmoreland County property.
Season ticket-holders and Live! Rewards regulars who already plan on watching there get real value out of this. Somebody chasing the Gold Zone Progressive without otherwise playing is looking at roughly $1,000 in slot action to clear the threshold, and a rail table is a $300 commitment before it is a seat.
