Luk Fu inside Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia has rolled out a refreshed menu in partnership with celebrity chef Jet Tila. The update adds new Pan-Asian dishes and expands its sushi offerings.

Tila told Metro Philadelphia that the collaboration grew out of a visit to the South Philadelphia property. An earlier project with Wolfgang Puck had introduced him to the casino and its culinary team. He said the goal was not to remake Luk Fu from scratch, but to build on an established Chinese restaurant concept with broader Asian influences. Tila said,

“I build menus by understanding the geography first.”

He further added,

“Philadelphia has some of the best chefs in America and a vibrant food scene.”

New Dishes on the Refreshed Menu

The newly highlighted dishes include Hamachi Chili Ponzu, Crispy Spicy Tuna served over crispy rice cakes, Tamarind Prawns, Sizzling Mongolian Filet Mignon, and a Seared Salmon Dynamite Bowl

Tila also pointed to updates including Tom Yum Soup, Sweet Heat Wings, and Thai Pineapple Fried Rice.

One item he singled out was the Tempura Crunch Roll. He said it uses imported crispy rice pearls, house-made eel sauce, and a yuzu miso glaze.

Tila also said his Pad Thai on the menu draws from a recipe his grandmother made more than 50 years ago. He described it as his “L.A. California Pad Thai.”

Tila’s Casino Dining Philosophy and Other Projects

Tila said he approaches casino restaurants with an emphasis on matching the energy of the gaming floor. He also aims to create a distinct guest experience.

Tila also said he is preparing for another season of Ready Jet Cook. He expects to return for Season 8 of Tournament of Champions, along with the show’s Christmas special.

Luk Fu by Chef Jet Tila is located at 900 Packer Ave. inside Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia.
