BetMGM and Atlantic Digital are partnering to bring slots from recognizable movies and TV shows to online casino platforms.

Atlantic Digital is responsible for developing those games, with The Godfather as its newest addition. It is already available in Michigan, and it will soon be available for gamblers playing at PA casinos online via BetMGM.

Pennsylvania online casino players to have access to The Godfather slot

“The Godfather” is one of the most influential and recognizable films ever. BetMGM Casino PA and Atlantic Digital are partnering to bring the title to the online app.

BetMGM is now the exclusive home to Atlantic Digital’s portfolio of proprietary games, which features a series of prominent film and TV content options.

Director of Gaming for BetMGM, Oliver Bartlett, said in a statement:

“The Godfather remains one of the most iconic movies and it is quite fitting that it is the first slot we are offering with Atlantic Digital. BetMGM is proud to be the first to bring The Godfather to the U.S. and its exclusive online casino home. We are always looking to partner with brands our customers love and game studios that are creating new and engaging content.”

BetMGM’s description of the slot is as follows:

“In The Godfather slot game, players step into the atmospheric and intimidating office of Don Corleone who demands respect, asks for loyalty, and immerses players in the mafia genre. The 5×3, 10-line game features free spins and a hold-and-win bonus round where players can win additional free spins and cash prizes.”

BetMGM Casino Pennsylvania offers several movie-themed slots

The Godfather slot might be the most prized title coming to BetMGM’s array of games. However, the operator has experimented with releasing slots from popular movies and shows before.

BetMGM supplies nearly 1,000 slots of the 8,000 total available in Pennsylvania. Those from TV shows or movies include:

  • Ted
  • Peaky Blinders
  • Cats
  • Beavis and Butt-Head
  • The Goonies
  • Hell’s Kitchen
  • Hercules

Atlantic Digital has a library of exclusive slots in the movie and TV realm, too. They include:

  • CSI: Crime Scene Investigation
  • Cheers
  • Star Trek
  • Charlie’s Angels

It remains to be seen what slots BetMGM and Atlantic Digial will unveil other than The Godfather. However, Atlantic Digital CEO Sam Hobcraft said there’s more to come:

“We are incredibly proud to partner with BetMGM and bring our popular branded games to the US market. The Godfather is just the start. Branded content has always been at the core of the land-based player experience. We at Atlantic Digital are at the forefront of this movement, and, working alongside BetMGM, we will be bringing the highest quality IP online to the US. We couldn’t be more excited about the potential of this partnership and what it could mean for US customers for many years to come.”

BetMGM ranks second in total slot count for Pennsylvania online casinos

BetMGM has the second-highest total number of slots on its online platform. The operator offers 867 slots in Pennsylvania, which is second to its own brand, Borgata Casino PA, which supplies 1,520. Together, both platforms offer 28.3% of the overall number of slots in Pennsylvania.

BetMGM is under the Hollywood Penn National license, along with DraftKings, Hollywood, PointsBet and Barstool. The license has generated $557.4 million in yearly online casino revenue, the most of any license.

DraftKings Casino PA offers 699 slots, the fourth-most among the 20 active operators.

BetRivers Casino PA and PlaySugarHouse round out the top five, producing nearly 1,500 combined slots. They posted $277.5 million in yearly revenue, the third-most in the state.

It appears that the more slots operators offer, the more revenue is made.
