BetMGM Sportsbook Now Live in PA

BetMGM is now ready to throw its hat into the ring. The fast-growing Pennsylvania sports betting market makes way for yet another heavy hitter as BetMGM Online Sportsbook goes live.

The BetMGM sports betting app went live for testing on Dec. 17 from 2 p.m.-midnight. As of Friday, Dec. 18, the newest PA online sportsbook is officially live and available 24/7.

A well-established casino brand that is becoming more known in the online gambling space, MGM is not a new player. But it is new to Pennsylvania, as is the BetMGM online casino, which officially debuted in the commonwealth on Dec. 4. Adam Greenblatt, BetMGM CEO, said in a press release:

“The response to BetMGM Casino in Pennsylvania has been incredible, and we’re thrilled to bring our best-in-class sports betting offering to the Keystone State. Pennsylvania is known for its legendary sports fans, and we look forward to sharing the excitement of BetMGM with them.”

BetMGM joins booming PA online sports betting market

With the addition of BetMGM, PA is home to 11 online sports betting apps. The market is developing into maturity, posting record handle of $525.8 million in October followed by a strong $491.9 million November.

The past two months have also seen the highest revenue for PA sportsbooks, with $36.8 million in October and $37.4 million in November. PA has established itself as the third-largest market behind Nevada and the rapidly growing New Jersey market.

BetMGM Sportsbook PA offerings, new user bonus

The BetMGM sportsbook is accessible on desktop and via download on iOS and Android. By signing up with our links and using our bonus code PLAYPASB, new users can take advantage of a 100% deposit bonus up to $500.

PA sportsbooks are not shy about handing out the promo dollars — and a lot of them. Expect BetMGM to do the same, and offer things like:

  • Money-back offers and bonus bets
  • Parlay boosts
  • Free-to-enter contests
  • “Lion’s boost” (and more bet boosts)

With college football and basketball underway, plus the NBA and NFL playoffs right around the corner, it’s a great time to gain access to another top-notch sports betting app in PA.

MGM has already partnered with the Pittsburgh Steelers, paving the way for a number of marketing and promotional opportunities for PA sports fans.

Be on the lookout for exciting offers from BetMGM Sportsbook in the weeks to come.

MGM continues expanding online gambling footprint

After changing course from its original plan to enter PA as a qualified gaming entity (QGE), MGM decided to pursue full operator status so it could offer the full menu of online casino, poker and sports betting.

BetMGM received approval at the end of October, and at its Dec. 16 meeting, the PGCB approved a sports wagering license for Hollywood Casino Morgantown. That is Penn National’s mini-casino project slated to open in 2021.

With the BetMGM Casino partnered with Penn’s Hollywood Casino, the sports betting partnership is a logical follow. Penn had to pony up $10 million for the additional license, since its Hollywood sports betting license is spoken for — by Barstool Sportsbook. A BetMGM online poker app is expected to join the PA offerings in the coming months.

With its entry into PA, BetMGM now has online gambling products live in the following eight states:

  • Pennsylvania
  • New Jersey
  • Nevada
  • Indiana
  • Tennessee
  • Colorado
  • West Virginia
  • Michigan
