Online players in Pennsylvania are in for a treat this December. The World Series of Poker is hosting a Winter Wonderland Series especially for players at WSOP.com PA.
The site recently announced the series will be running Dec. 5-21 with more than $300,000 guaranteed across 15 events. The series is available to players physically located in Pennsylvania.
The WINter Wonderland series features buy-ins ranging from $55 to $215 making it accessible to players with a wide range of bankroll sizes. It also offers $15,000 in additional giveaways including free seats to the 2022 WSOP, online tournament tickets and some cash prizes.
Main Event and $15,000 Bonus WSOP Seats
WSOP.com announced that anyone who plays in 5 or more Winter Wonderland events will get a chance to win a 2022 WSOP $10,000 Main Event seat. This will be a special invite only tournament taking place on Dec. 27 at 6 p.m.
The big event for the series is a multi-day tournament that starts with Day 1A on Dec. 17, 1B on Dec. 18 and 1C on Dec. 19. This tournament comes with a $100,000 guarantee. As an added bonus, WSOP.com will be giving away five random $1,000 WSOP 2022 seats during each of the starting flights.
“I would love to win a seat to the $10,000 WSOP Main Event.” Matt Hannaford, a poker player Harrisburg told PlayPennsylvania. “I am going to try and jump in some of these tournaments so I have a chance.”
WINter Wonderland series highlights
Winter Wonderland tournament types include freezeouts, PLO, progressive knockouts and turbos. Besides the $100,000 event, some other highlights include:
- $215 Pot Limit Omaha Six-Max (Event 7, Dec. 11) – $10,000 guaranteed
- $215 NLHE Big Tuesday (Event 10, Dec. 14) – $25,000 guaranteed
