The Villanova Wildcats are returning to the Final Four for the third time in six years under head coach Jay Wright. Villanova beat Houston in the Elite 8 on Saturday night to win the South Region and claim their place in the Final Four. Before the start of the 2022 NCAA Tournament, Villanova’s odds were +300 at DraftKings PA Sportsbook to win the South Region. The Arizona Wildcats +150 were the favorites to emerge out of the region and had the majority of the bettors’ money (58%) at DraftKings Sportsbook. However, Arizona lost in the Sweet 16.

At FanDuel prior to the start of March Madness, Villanova was +550 to reach the Final Four. Now, the Wildcats are dancing their way to Caesars Superdome on Saturday, April 2 to face Kansas.

  • Nova guard Justin Moore, the team’s second-leading scorer, suffered a torn Achilles in the final minute of the Elite 8 game. Moore is out for the rest of the tourney and will have surgery this week.
  • Kansas (32-6) last loss came on March 1 versus TCU.
  • Villanova (30-7) has not lost since Feb. 22 against UConn.
  • Villanova versus Kansas is a rematch of the 2018 Final Four. The Wildcats defeated Kansas 95-79 and went on to win a national championship.
