The Caesars brand has taken a step up since the company launched a new standalone online casino app for users over the summer. Caesars had its best revenue month ever in October and is starting to see more people use its app.

According to Chris Krafcik, Adam Kregcik and Brad Allen of Eilers & Krejcik Gaming and authors of The EKG Line, Caesars Casino PA is still commanding a respectable number of app downloads and is trending upward overall.

Caesars Casino PA download share and revenue improvement

PA online casinos had a record-breaking September and almost topped it in October. Those two months saw the following revenue figures:

  • September 2023: $187.3 million
  • October 2023: $186.9 million

The growth of Caesars had a large part in Pennsylvania delivering two of the highest revenue totals of all time. The Harrah’s Philadelphia license, in partnership with Caesars and Tropicana Casino PA, also posted its highest-ever revenue totals in those consecutive months:

  • September 2023: $7.5 million
  • October 2023: $8.3 million

The Caesars Palace online casino standalone app has been paying off as of late. The EKG Line is reporting that the platform has accounted for just over 7% of downloads since August, per Sensor Tower. The online casino is also getting good reviews. The EKG Line said in its newsletter last week:

“The casino embedded within the core Caesars Sportsbook app has improved significantly in our proprietary testing, and our preliminary interactions with the newer Caesars Palace app were generally positive.”

During a Q2 2023 earnings call, CEO Tom Reeg laid out the reasons why Caesars invested in a standalone online casino app:

“It’s a casino-first entry into our digital business. And in terms of capabilities, bonusing, segmentation, proprietary games and live dealer, it is lightyears beyond what we’ve been operating under.”

The EKG Line expects Caesars to continue to grow, especially within the New Jersey and Pennsylvania markets, as the company refines its product.

Caesars Pennsylvania to be a strong PA online casino operator moving forward

Harrah’s Philadelphia has finished as the fourth license in the state over the past five months. It’s placed behind the following licenses:

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) breaks down revenue by license and not by operator. Even though it’s difficult to see exactly where Caesars stands, it is in the mix as one of the better operators in the Keystone State.

As it continues to refine the app, Caesars is consistently adding more games, too. The company recently partnered with Digital Gaming Corporation (DGC) to add new titles, and also with Inspired Entertainment to bring Hybrid Dealer games to its platform. This entirely new category of gaming should be a hit among Pennsylvania online casino players.

Caesars Casino PA currently has 293 slots, which sits 11th out of 21 operators within the state. Overall, PA offers more than 8,500 slots for online casino players.

Look for Caesars to keep improving and growing as time marches on, especially in the Pennsylvania market, where growth seems inevitable. Caesars is expected to have another strong month when the PGCB releases November revenue next week.
