PA casinos took major issue with the PA Lottery’s gambling expansion and its choice of games. A coalition of seven casinos claims some of the games too closely resemble casino games and wrote a strongly worded letter to the Lottery expressing their concerns, and to Gov. Tom Wolf asking that the games be shut down. The casinos have protections against the offering of casino-style games outside of a casino. The Lottery stood by its portfolio and insisted it was operating the games legally and Wolf’s office did not act. As a result, the coalition filed a lawsuit against the Lottery seeking an injunction from offering the offending games. The casino names as the offending games: Volcano Eruption Reveal, Robin Hood, Super Gems, Big Foot, and Monster Wins.
