One Pennsylvania sportsbook is teaming up with a popular bar in the state to promote its product. Betway is partnering with Sports & Social Allentown to provide a retail sportsbook-like atmosphere for patrons.

Betway Sportsbook PA and Sports & Social Allentown plan to deliver a premier dining and sports viewing experience.

Pennsylvania bar in Lehigh Valley partners with sports betting operator

Betway, one of 13 PA online sportsbooks, is attempting to grow its footprint in the Keystone State. The operator entered a multi-year partnership with Sports & Social Allentown that will benefit both parties.

Patrons at the dining establishment are not going to be able to place in-person wagers at the bar. However, the deal comes with many features that resemble a retail sportsbook. Some of them include:

  • LED board that highlights Betway’s live odds and promotions
  • Watch parties with exclusive food and beverage promotions
  • Betway signage inside establishment

The bar will also include a menu that is specific to Betway. Guests can enjoy an outdoor bar when the weather is nice, especially early in the football season, as well.

Betway will provide training to Sports & Social Allentown staff to properly market the sportsbook, as well as promote responsible gaming tools.

Mike Addonizio, Vice President of Marketing at Betway, said in a statement:

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Sports & Social Allentown to bring Betway to the Lehigh Valley area. This partnership will continue our mission to provide a great game day experience for sports bettors and fans, while creating an iconic entertainment and dining destination where sports entertainment and betting come together. We can’t wait for our customers to enjoy this unique sports dining experience.”

Betway Sportsbook’s performance in Keystone State gambling market

Betway finished ninth in sports betting handle in December, posting $8 million in total bets.

FanDuel Sportsbook PA and DraftKings Sportsbook PA lead the Pennsylvania sports betting market, as each recorded $394.4 million and $235.7 million in December handle, respectively.

Betway is not competing with the market leaders, though. It is going against the third tier of operators, with hopes of leapfrogging into the second tier. Here is a breakdown of the December handle:

In addition to everything inside the restaurant, the agreement also states that Sports & Social Allentown will promote Betway on its website and social media channels.

Hopefully, the partnership will lead to more visibility for Betway. While it won’t reach FanDuel or DraftKings, it’s eyeing a handle of at least $20 million monthly.
