The Powerball jackpot climbs to $229 million for this weekend’s Saturday night drawing, June 11. Many jackpot winners opt to take the cash value of the prize in a single lump sum payment. For this jackpot the cash value totals $132.3 million before withholding.
The previous drawing, held on Wednesday this week, produced a number of big winners, but no jackpot winner. Three tickets in different states won $1 million each in that drawing. Those tickets were sold in Massachusetts, Ohio and Tennessee. To win $1 million on Powerball, players have to match all five of the white balls drawn. That’s just one number away from winning it all. No one was able to match all five along with the red Powerball.

There’s no wrong way to play!
Over the years Powerball has made some additions to the game that offer players more options. There are now more ways to play, creating more ways to win.
