The Powerball jackpot for Saturday, July 18, now jumps to $97 million. The potential winner is able to choose a one-time cash option of $78.3 million.

Last Wednesday, July 15, the drawing yielded winning numbers of 27 – 47 – 61 – 62 – 69, with a Powerball of 4. The Power Play multiplier was an astonishing 10x.

One winner did match up the five white balls. That prize is worth $1 million. Had the winner chosen to add on the $1 Power Play multiplier, the winning ticket would be worth $2 million, as the Power Play always doubles the Match 5 prize.

A Powerball ticket with the Power Play option was sold in Schuylkill County, PA. The lucky ticket matched four of five white balls along with the Powerball. Because the ticket had the Power Play multiplier option, it was worth a hefty $500,000. Without this option, the ticket would only have been worth $50,000. Definitely a worthwhile investment that paid off!
