Yet another Powerball drawing concluded on Monday without a jackpot winner, sending Wednesday’s jackpot to new heights. For Oct. 5, the Powerball grand prize steps up to an estimated $353 million annuity. The cash value of the prize, if a winner chooses to take it in a single payment, is $185.6 million before taxes.
The largest prize paid out in Monday’s relatively uneventful drawing was $50,000 to six different players, who matched four of the five white balls, plus the red Powerball. No players hit that combo with Power Play, which would have quadrupled the prize to $200,000. The Power Play multiplier drawn was 4x in that drawing.
