A new week brings another chance at a Powerball jackpot that is over $100 million higher than the last grand prize awarded back in August. For tonight, Oct. 3, the jackpot increases to an estimated $336 million. The lump sum cash value of the main prize is $176.7 million, before withholding.
On Saturday night, there was no jackpot winner, but thousands of tickets won prizes in the drawing as usual. The largest prize was $2 million won on a ticket sold in Florida. That ticket was sold with the optional Power Play and matched the first five white balls, but not the red Powerball. Without the Power Play option, the prize would have been $1 million. Another ticket, sold in Wisconsin, matched the same numbers without Power Play to win the lesser prize.
