There was no Powerball jackpot winner on Saturday, so yet again the game offers up a whopping jackpot tonight, estimated at $625 million for Oct. 24. The lump sum cash value of tonight’s jackpot is about $300 million, before withholding.
Tonight’s jackpot is the eighth largest in Powerball history, and if no one hits it tonight the prize will continue to soar to $680 million for Wednesday. If that happens, the prize would step up to the seventh highest Powerball prize ever and the highest of the year so far.

Big Powerball wins over the weekend
In Saturday’s Powerball drawing, three players hit prizes of $1 million each. Tickets sold in New York, South Carolina and Texas were the big winners. Each of those tickets matched all five of the white balls drawn, but missed the red Powerball. With Power Play, those tickets would have doubled in value. Power Play is the $1 ticket add-on, available in most states, that multiplies all prizes other than the jackpot.
Thirty-six other tickets won prizes of $50,000 for matching four of the five white balls, plus the red Powerball. Six more tickets, including one in PA, won $100,000 for matching the same numbers with Power Play.
The PA ticket was sold at Buttermilk Shop ‘n Save at 4647 Buttermilk Hollow Road in West Mifflin, Allegheny County. As usual, the retailer earned a $500 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
