In just three weeks since the last Powerball jackpot win, the Top Prize has climbed to $90 million. For tonight’s drawing, March 7, the lump sum cash value of the prize is about $62 million before taxes if a winner chooses to take it all at once.
There were some significant prizes awarded in Saturday’s Powerball drawing. Two players matched all five white balls, but not the powerball. Those players, who purchased tickets in AZ and FL, each won a prize of $1 million.
Another way to win by matching five numbers is by matching four of the five white balls in addition to matching the Powerball. Hitting that combination of numbers wins the third-tier prize of $50,000. Eleven tickets hit the third-tier win, but two of them were purchased with Power Play. The Power Play multiplier drawn on Saturday was 2x, so those tickets are worth $100,000 each.

The winning ticket matched all six numbers drawn to hit the $2.16 million jackpot. The winning numbers were 10-16-23-34-37-41. A $10,000 bonus goes to Hazle Mini Mart in Hazle Township for selling the winning ticket.
