The Pittsburgh Steelers could not build on their improbable Week 1 win vs. the Cincinnati Bengals and fell to the New England Patriots, 17-14.

The Steelers punted the ball away with 6:41 left in the fourth quarter and did not get the ball back. The Patriots ran 13 plays before taking three knees to salt the game away.

It was a rough beat for Steelers +2.5 or +3 bettors. The game went Under the total points (40). Offensive was tough sledding as Steelers quarterback Mitchell Trubisky went 21-for-33 for 168 yards and a touchdown. Najee Harris rushed for 49 yards on 15 carries.

The Steelers face the Cleveland Browns on Sept. 22 for Thursday Night Football at 8:20 p.m. Opening Week 3 betting lines have the Steelers as a 3-point underdog against the Browns at Pennsylvania sportsbooks.
