Philly props for Eagles vs. Lions Week 8

The results aren’t there.

And Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni knows everyone wants results. In the NFL, wins and losses matter most.

But to hear Sirianni tell it – as he did in a press conference this week– the Eagles are making progress.

Roots are growing underground. A flower is forming. And progress is being made.

Well, on Sunday, Sirianni and his 2-5 team get a chance to prove that his comments weren’t just press conference blather.

The Eagles head west to take on winless Detroit at 1 p.m. Sunday on FOX. On paper, it’s one of those mediocre games that almost require a hometown team to be worth watching. Or perhaps it just needs the right bet to become interesting.

And PA online sportsbooks have that ground covered well, with a healthy crop of Eagles prop bets loaded up for Sunday’s kickoff.

Let’s take a look at the wagers that could provide some immediate results on Sunday afternoon.

Can Jalen deliver a weekly special? FanDuel Eagles props

FanDuel Sportsbook has a number of special wagers each week and the NFL’s Week 8 menu includes a prop bet on Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Hurts is +250 to record one rushing TD and at least 50 yards rushing. Last week against the Raiders, Hurts had 61 yards rushing but no TDs. It’s possible he may get a few more carries after starting running back Miles Sanders suffered a sprained ankle last week.

Which Eagle can find the endzone?

Another prop on FanDuel has prices posted for Anytime Touchdown scorers. Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell have the lowest prices at -110. The rest of Philadelphia’s players are as follows:

  • Jalen Hurts: +115
  • DeVonta Smith: +120
  • Dallas Goedert: +165
  • Boston Scott: +220
  • Jalen Reagor: +260
  • Quez Watkins: +300

Will Philly score first? Or last?

One way to make the game interesting from beginning to end is to wager on who scores first and last in the contest.

The odds for that wager at FanDuel are:

Team to Score First

  • Eagles: -130
  • Lions: +108

Team to Score Last

  • Eagles: -130
  • Lions: +108

Who will be the top target? Fox Bet Eagles props

Rookie DeVonta Smith continues to be a popular target in the Eagles passing game. On Sunday, FOX Bet has prop bets posted on the Eagles receivers.

Smith is +110 to record 50 receiving yards and a touchdown.

The prices for the other Philadelphia receivers are:

  • Dallas Goedert – 50 yards and a TD: +187
  • Quez Watkins – 50 yards and a TD: +200

How far will they go Sunday?

If you’re looking for pure yardage props, DraftKings Sportsbook has a number of them posted for the Eagles on Sunday.

Jalen Hurts – Passing Yards

Over 254.5: -115

Under 254.5: -115

Jalen Hurts – Rushing Yards

Over 47.5: -115

Under 47.5: -115

Receiving Totals

Dallas Goedert: Over 49.5 (-110)/Under 49.5 (-120)

DeVonta Smith: Over 63.5 (-115)/Under 63.5 (-115)

Quez Watkins: Over 44.5 (-115)/Under 44.5 (-115)

After seven games, “the results aren’t there” for Nick Sirianni and the Philadelphia Eagles. But the coach is confident that progress is being made. Roots are growing. And before long, a flower will bloom.

We’ll look for it on Sunday.
