Oddsmakers installed the Los Dodgers (+700) as the favorites to win the 2022 World Series followed by the Astros +1000 and New York Mets +1200. The Phillies are a middle of the pack +4000.

The Atlanta Braves beat the Los Angeles Dodgers to win the 2021 NL Pennant.  In 2022, bookmakers have the Dodgers as the favorite to win the NL Pennant followed by the Phillies NL East Rival, New York Mets. The Mets went on an offseason spending spree and signed Max Scherzer to signed the biggest contract ever for an average salary ($43.3 million).
