Online casinos in Pennsylvania came close to setting the all-time record for revenue in May.
Operators produced $291.7 million in revenue last month, the second-highest total since IGaming began in the Keystone State nearly six years ago.
May’s total was just behind March’s 294.2 million.
The question is, can Pennsylvania online casinos hit the $300 million mark in one of the remaining months of 2025?
PA iGaming keeps on growing
As evidenced by last month, the online casino industry is still growing at a rapid rate in Pennsylvania. May’s total was a whopping 34.7% increase over the previous May and 2.3% more than the previous month, according to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
As always, revenue from slots dwarfed earnings from table games and poker.
- Online slots revenue: $236,047,577
- Table games revenue: $52,921,848
- Online poker revenue: $2,750,831
Poker play up
Pennsylvania joined the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement at the end of April, making May the first full month of pool poker play. WSOP and BetMGM began pooling players on the first day.
Because of that, Pennsylvania online poker recorded nearly $2.8 million in revenue, an improvement over the four previous months.
- January: $2.6 million
- February: $2.4 million
- March: $2.6 million
- April: $2.3 million
Revenue increased nearly 18% month-over-month in May, and it set the all-time record for monthly online poker revenue in Pennsylvania. It should keep growing too, as BetRivers went live after testing its product last week, and PokerStars is gearing up for a launch soon.
Bet365 trends down
Bet365 came into the PA market last summer and seemingly hit the ground running. The operator was able to carve out a niche in a highly competitive market.
Bet365’s monthly revenue reached a high of $7.1 million in January, but earnings have fallen since then.
- February: $5.7 million
- March: $3.4 million
- April: $3.1 million
- May: $2.9 million
Lifetime revenue closing in on $10 billion
After May’s output, lifetime revenue at PA online casinos sits at $9.93 billion. Halfway through June, operators have likely passed the $10 billion threshold.
Because the industry continues to grow, it seems like milestones are achieved every few months. However, the $10 billion figure would be a big one to celebrate.
Online casinos have produced $1.40 billion in year-to-date revenue, an average of $280.1 million in monthly earnings. Online casinos in the state are on pace to post $3.36 billion in 2025, which would be a nearly 30% increase from last year.
