Come July 15, we do know at least one PA online casino is ready to get going. At least, according to its website.
On Monday, Parx Casino instituted a countdown clock on its website counting down to the minute when players can finally play online slots and table games in Pennsylvania. According to the site, 5 p.m. on Monday, July 15, is when the era of PA online gambling sites finally begins.
- 100% Up to $250 in Bonus Money
- ONLY 1x Play Through!
- Use Bonus Code: BONUSON
PGCB meeting could shed light on other online casinos
We were unclear just how many sites would be ready in time for the July 15 launch. This is the first confirmation that any are planning on opening their doors.
The real indicator of who else is ready to join Parx with an online casino offering will come Wednesday. That is when the PA Gaming Control Board (PGCB) assembles for its monthly meeting. Currently, the agenda does not note any list of casinos ready to go. However, we can expect that Executive Director Kevin O’Toole’s monthly address will mention which properties are launching on Monday. O’Toole recently spoke to PlayPennsylvania about his expectations for launch.
What to expect from Parx online casino
Currently, the Parx online casino countdown lists the following games as part of its PA offering when it launches:
- Slots
- Blackjack
- Roulette
- Video poker
- Craps
- Baccarat
- Live dealer games
If you want an idea of what the slot offering will entail, the Parx site promises:
Coming soon will be hundreds of online slots. We’ll have a full array of classic slots, video slots and progressive jackpot slots. We’ll also have bonus rounds, free spins, and plenty more.
Do not expect an online poker offering with the online casino launch. Most every site is focused only on casino at the moment, with poker a lower priority for the coming months.
Parx online casino partner is GAN
If you want a sense of what the real thing will look like, look no further than the Parx social casino. GAN powers both the social and real-money sites, so you can get a look and feel for what to expect next week without spending a dime and still taking a spin on all your favorite casino games.
Parx Sportsbook already up and running
Parx already has an online sportsbook up and running as of June 27. The long-term plan is to have both products connected with a shared wallet, but there is no guarantee that functionality will be ready at launch date. As of now, Parx Sportsbook is a standalone venture.
After all, getting apps listed in the Apple app store remains a chore. Currently, the Parx Android app only shows functionality related to sports betting.
