PA Online Casino Revenue Exceeds $2 Billion In 2024 Thanks To Record October

Written By Corey Sharp on November 20, 2024

Pennsylvania online casinos have earned over $2 billion in 2024, having been propelled past that milestone thanks to a record-setting $245.2 million in October.

The previous state and national monthly-revenue record was $233.1 million, which Pennsylvania operators set in March. This isn’t the first time that Pennsylvania has exceeded $2 billion in revenue in a single calendar year, but last year it took until mid-December to get there, becoming the first state to do so.

Fall is an important time of year for online casinos. Six of the seven states with legal iGaming broke their respective records last month. However, since the Keystone State is the biggest of the markets, PA online casino records are also US national records..

PA online casino revenue has exceeded $200 million for the eighth time in 10 months, including four straight months. It should finish above that mark in the final two months, too.

  • Table games revenue: $45,946,893
  • Online poker revenue: $2,206,681

Quick analysis from October PA iGaming figures

PA iGaming continues to raise the bar

There are seven states with legal online casinos. The six of those that have reported their revenue for October have each broken a record. However, given the size of Pennsylvania, the Keystone State has the all-time high for the US.

Pennsylvania’s closest competition in the iGaming space is from Michigan and New Jersey. But even those markets are a step behind the Keystone State. Michigan and New Jersey released revenue earlier this week with the following totals:

  • Michigan: $220.7 million
  • New Jersey: $213.6 million

It’s clear that Pennsylvania is still far-and-away the market leader, thanks to its large population. With its best month to date in October, Pennsylvania has recorded $2.17 billion in year-to-date revenue, which already surpasses 2023’s total.

Bet365 is catching up to other operators

Bet365 Casino PA came late to the party, in terms of launching. However, it appears to be thriving just a few months in.

The operator went live in PA in July and has already been making noise as a solid platform. Bet365 has posted the following results:

  • August: $3.1 million
  • September: $4.7 million
  • October: $5.6 million

Those are considerable jumps in each of the three full months bet365 has been in operation. It finished roughly $200,000 behind betPARX. Should bet365 continue to grow, it’ll overtake PlayLive! and Golden Nugget.

PA approaches $8 billion in lifetime revenue

Because of the large outputs each and every month, a huge milestone seems to hit every few months or so. With that said, Pennsylvania is closing in on $8 billion in all-time iGaming revenue.

The exact count sits at $7,996,184,119. The state likely crossed $8 billion within the first few hours of the clock striking midnight on Nov. 1.

Pennsylvania proves it is the market leader in iGaming revenue each and every month. That shouldn’t change in November and December, either.
